Chapter 20: The children of Veldora

Once Charybdis looked in my direction they Immediately shot a laser beam at me without hesitation. I create I giant pillar of stone to block the attack from even reaching me or the soldiers flying near me.

While I was keeping everyone out of harms way, Abiru was directing our dragonewt's to fight the megalodons and leave fighting Charybdis to me and the forests heavy hitters. Since I wanted this to follow the story as much as possible, all I really did  was draw her fire for the next few hours.

I had just blocked a group of Pegasus knight from being hit by her scales when I hear Rimuru call out to me and Milim, who was laying on my head.

Rimuru: "Hey you two, can you tell us anything about them that might help us beat them?" I he asks us while fling up to my face.

Vendela: "Unfortunately I can't tell you anything that would help us get rid of her," I tell him.

Milim: "Hahaha, It sounds like I am needed," she says while floating off my head and up to Rimuru.

Rimuru: "What do you mean?" He asks her confused.

Vendela: "She is talking about her [Milim eye], the skill is basically an all seeing appraisal skill," I respond to him.

Before he could ask her anymore about the skill, Charybdis shoots another beam our way, since I didn't have enough time to get any of us out of the way I decided to shoot a powerful [Solar breath] to counter the beam.

Once the light dies down I can hear many individuals cheering for me, from what I can tell they are all dragonewt's or orcs. The Pegasus knights seem dumbfounded though, my thoughts are interrupted by Milim calling me.

Milim: "Umm... Ven?" Milim asks me.

Vendela: "Yes Mil?" I then ask her.

Milim: "The one Charybdis is possessing is that Phobio guy that you wanted to beat up," she tells me.

Rimuru: "What!?" he asks surprised.

Vendela: "I trust your skill Milim, so I believe you. Since you haven't got the chance to really fight anybody, they are all yours," I tell her while smiling at her the best way I can in my dragon form.

Rimuru/Milim: "Really!?" they both ask me.

Vendela: "Well not without the chancellors permission," I say while bowing my head to Rimuru. I swear I could hear a few individuals gasp. Rimuru flew there for a few moment's looking at Charybdis before finally responding.

Rimuru: "Fine, but make sure he lives," he tells her.

Milim flies around him in joy for a second, then quickly flies into Charybdis' face and performs the same move as in the anime.

Phobio's charred body flew out of the smoke, Rimuru was about to go for him but I just grabbed him with my tail and go to lay him down in a clearing but before I drop him I get a notification.

[New skill [Charybdis] acquired]

Vendela: 'What!?' I think to myself while laying the unconscious beast man in front of the others so Rimuru can help him.

Vendela: 'Did I gain this like how Rimuru got the [Veldora] skill? That's the only thing that makes sense, I'll experiment with this later.

I turn back into my human form and walk up to everyone else, when I did arrive everything followed cannon but he was apologizing to mostly me. Once demon lord Carrion appeared he turned to me and Rimuru.

Carrion: "So you two are the one's that defeated the orc and fire dragon lords," he says while inspecting us.

Rimuru: "We are, are you here to avenge him?" he asks while putting his guard up.

Carrion just laughs and comments no, he walks over to Phobio and knocks him the hell out. After that all happened he stated that we and his kingdom are now allies, before he left I wanted to ask him something though.

Vendela: "Demon lord Carrion. Before you leave I would like to ask you something," I tell him, everyone in the clearing tenses

Carrion: "Oh? And what would that be?" he asks with an eyebrow raised.

Vendela: "I'm fairly certain you know what I am, so I would like to ask you to keep me a secret," I ask him.

Carrion: "That is a very interesting idea but what would I gain from this?"

Vendela: "Simply put, you would have an ally none of them are aware of," I say while releasing my tail, horns, and wings.

Carrion: "Very true, sure why not," he says while holding his hand out. I shake his hand and all the individuals in the clearing cheer. Once everything was in order, Carrion and his people left.

Rimuru: "Alright everyone, let's go home," he says.

Everyone: "Yes," we all respond with wide smiles.
