James was currently watching a episode of "That Time I was Reincarnated as a Slime" while walking down the street. Due to him not paying attention while crossing the road he ended up getting struck by a moving truck.

Now that we are named, It's time to let Rimuru eat my father, but not without goodbyes of course. We asked Rimuru to give us space to talk with one another and he had no objections.
Veldora: "What will you do while I'm gone?" he asks.
Vendela: "I'll go back to the lizardmen until Rimuru needs me, I wanna repay the chief until then," I tell him with a nod which he repeats.
Veldora: "I'm gonna miss you my dearest little dragon," he says sadly.
Vendela: "I will miss you deeply as well father, come back to me as soon as possible ok?" I manage to sat through my sobs.
Veldora: "Anything for you my little dragon," he says.
We call Rimuru back and he eats my father a few moment's later, this place feels so cold without him. I tell Rimuru he can be on his way, I'll stay here a while longer, I might call this home when I move to capital city Rimuru, I'm not sure.
Vendela: "Before you go, just know I will always have your back, just contact the Lizardman tribe to find me and I'll help anyway I can," I say sweetly to him.
Rimuru: "O-Ok thanks, I'll keep that in mind," he response with blush on his face.
With that he was on his way out while I took a few moment's to remember my time with father. After about an hour I decide to head to the lizardman tribe through my old tunnel I purposefully didn't mention to Rimuru so the timeline doesn't change to much.
Last time the trip was about Four hours, but due to me having wings now it took me two hours before I reached the entrance. As a walked around everyone looked cautious of me, which is understandable because I didn't even have hair back then so I quickened my walk to the chiefs thrown.
Once I reached the front door I was stopped by the guards that are on duty today.
Soldier 1: "Stop, state your business here," he says to me with his spear pointing at me.
Vendela: "Calm yourself, I'm here to update the chief on my wellbeing," I tell him while pushing the spear away.
Soldier 2: "Your wellbeing? I've never seen you around before," he comments while rising up his spear.
Before I can respond to the soldier a voice with authority beats me to it.
Abiru: "Of course you don't she has evolved after all," he says while coming out of his thrown room.
Still not completely believing the information, the two soldiers look at me for a long while thinking. After about two minute realization takes over there features, they stand there stunned until they finally respond.
Soldiers: "Your the tail warrior! We all thought you were dead!" the two of them scream.
Vendela: "I am very much alive boys, now chieftain may I tell you of my seven month long adventure?" I say while kneeling in front of him.
Abiru: "You may young warrior, actually what is your name now?" he asks with that kind smile of his.
Vendela: "The name I have been blessed with is Vendela, sir," I respond with pride.
Abiru: "Very well Vendela, come on in, we have much to discuss," he says with a knowing smile.
Once the two of us got inside I told him about everything I did over the last seven months with my father, as well as how much stronger I've gotten. When I talked about Rimuru and my fathers "disappearance", I only sad that a friend of ours found a way to free him and that I will stay here until my father returns, I didn't even mention our family name.
Abiru: "If that's the case, what will you do around here until then?" he asks.
Vendela: "I was actually wondering if you would have me as a personal guard until I decide to leave," I answer while taking a knee.
Abiru: "I would love that, but why do you want to?" he asks curious.
Vendela: "Simply put, you are the only reason I want to be here," I say while smiling at him.
He takes a step back in shock due to my statement.
Abiru: "W-What?" he asks still shocked.
Vendela: "I always knew you were watching me, I never knew why but as I got older I figured out you were concerned for my wellbeing and I'd love to return the favor," I tell him.
Abiru: "W-Well I look forward to working with you," he says with that kind smile of his.
Vendela: "As do I sir, it's good to be back," I respond.
