I remember being so scared when Norman was angry, it was even scarier when he was angry at me....

I now sat in the cafeteria with Norman, Emma, Gilda, and Don. Norman's adopted siblings that still go to school here have detention for breaking into the school last night just to get Hayato's homework. Norman has 6 adopted siblings, 1 girl and 5 boys. The girl is named Barbara and she is the third oldest of the children in the Ratri household. Cislo is the second oldest while Vincent is the oldest. Norman is the middle child and oldest sibling that goes to school since Vincent is now a full fledged adult that works a job and Barbara and Cislo go to college. Hayato and Jin are the same age and are only a year younger then Norman. 17. Hayato and Jin are actually in a secret relationship and only Norman's siblings, Norman, and our friend group knows. Last but not least there is Zazie, Zazie is 10 years old and has autism. Zazie goes to the elementary school.

Norman sat right next to me while, Emma, Gilda, and Don sat across from us. I asked Norman why he didn't want to sit next to Emma, his girlfriend. Norman didn't answer and just sat next to me.

I already ate my lunch and threw it away a few minutes ago and am now reading a random fantasy book. Emma and Gilda were chatting about the latest fashions at the mall while Don just played on his phone. Norman just sat there, staring into space until he turned to me and tapped my shoulder trying to get my attention. I turned to look at him.

"Can we talk?" He asked quietly to which I nodded. We both then stood up from our seats and told Emma and the other two that we needed to go use the restrooms. That was such a pathetic lie but, they weren't really paying attention to us.

Me and Norman then walked all the way to an empty classroom that was upstairs. Norman made sure no one followed us and closed the door and then sat on top the teachers desk while I sat on top of a regular desk. We both stared at each other is silence before Norman sighed and began to speak.

"I think I'm gonna break up with Emma"

My breath hitched when Norman said that, I was shocked and surprised at the same time- wait, doesn't those words mean the same thing or-wait what!?

I took a deep breath before speaking and looking toward Norman with a serious look, "when? When do you plan on breaking it off with her?" I asked to which Norman sighed and looked to the side.

"After graduation.....maybe? I don't know-just not now" Norman said quietly as he then looked back at me. I just looked at him extremely confused.

"Well, should I end it with her? Me and Emma have been kind of distant and barely y'know, lovey dovey with eachother like we were in the beginning of our relationship.....I-"

"Hey, it's ok" I said quietly to Norman as I walked over to him and putted my hand on his shoulder, "Emma still loves you, she loves you so much, I don't understand why you would think these things Norman?" I finished.

"Well, I think Emma is just not interested in me anymore and I think shes doing things with someone else" Norman answered.

I just shook my head, "Norman stop, Emma wouldn't do that, that's just not Emma" I said as I then grabbed my bag and started to walk away.

This was so fucking 8th grade.

"Where are you going?" Norman asked when I grabbed the door knob to the classroom door and opened it. I rolled my eyes and turned to look at Norman.

"To class."

"But lunch isn't-"

"I don't care" was the last thing I said before I walked out, closing the door. Before I could even get away from the door, I heard a big thud.

I turned to look in the classroom door window to see Norman flipped over a desk angry, I then saw Norman grab a chair and throw it across the classroom. I flinched and quickly ran down the hall to the classroom for my next class.

I think Norman is mad at me.

I was now standing in front of the school getting ready to go home, I was looking through my bag for my headphones so that I could listen to music as I walk home. Once I found them I connected them to my phone and zipped my bag and stood up.

Before I could leave the school, I heard familiar voices arguing behind the school making me curious and look behind the school from behind the corner to see who-

Emma and Norman.

I hid behind the corner as I watched Emma and Norman argue and they were really mad. Norman looked like he wanted to kill someone while Emma just wanted to punch a wall.

"NORMAN HOW CAN YOU SAY THAT!?-"

"JUST ADMIT IT!"

"NO!"

"EMMA-"

*SMACK*

I gasped quietly and covered my mouth when I saw Emma slap Norman hard making his head turn the other way. I jumped violently from how loud the slap was.

I watched Norman slowly turn his head to look back at Emma with a glare and clenched teeth making Emma back up abit in fear at what she just did. I could literally feel all the anger coming from Norman all the way from here, it felt like fire.....

"WHY YOU LITTLE!" Norman shouted as he then grabbed Emma by the hair not even thinking as Emma screamed for him to stop. Norman was seeing red, I could tell.....

I jumped up quickly when I noticed he was about to punch Emma. I quickly ran toward them, shouting for Norman to stop. When I was right next to them, I pushed Emma out of the way which made me end up getting punched hard in the nose by Norman and fall to the ground hitting my head hard on the summit, also known as the sidewalk too. O sadly hit the corner-

I felt blood roll out my nose and down my forehead as I layed on the ground with my eyes starting to close, I was about to pass out right then..., my eyes closed and everything went black. The last thing I heard was-

"RAY!"

"OH MY GOD! RAY!"

"EMMA CALL THE AMBULANCE DAMN IT!"

"911-"
