Falling.

Wait a damn minute, falling!?-

Riley opened his eyes quickly to show them wide in fear as he quickly looked around. He was in fact falling. Everywhere was a beautiful blue sky and the clouds a pretty light pink. Riley would think the sky looked beautiful but, he was falling to his possible death. Riley looked down to see he was gonna fall into a dark blue colored ocean, that calmed Riley a tiny bit to know he was gonna land somewhere safe but, he was still in a state of panic wondering how he got here in the first place, last he checked he was in the barn where the horses were kept at Norman and Ray's mansion. How the hell did he get here!?

Riley's thoughts were interrupted when he hit the ocean waters. It felt as if nails pricked his skin when he hit the cold water, slowly floating down into the dark waters. Riley opened his blue eyes (pretty sure they're blue...hopefully-💀) and looked around, Riley made sure to hold his breath as he was under water but, it felt as if he wasn't breathing in the first place, when he first woke up here. Riley then tried to swim up but, he couldn't, he remained stuck in place under water, making him confused and panic. Why couldn't he move!? Why couldn't he move!? What's the meaning of this!?

Riley was about to try and swim up again but, he stopped himself when he heard a familiar voice whisper his name. "RRRiiillleeeyyy" the familiar voice whispered, even though Riley was under water he heard the voice so clearly. Riley turned to the direction he heard the voice and made a face of confusion when he saw no one. The familiar voice kept chanting his name though, as if his name were a prayer.

Riley then looked up when he noticed something from up above, he looked to see if was the bottom of a speedboat. Speedboat looked so familiar too, Riley tried to swim up and was relieved when he finally could. As Riley swan up, he peeked his head out of the water to see what or who was in the speedboat, only to flinch in shock when he saw himself and Ash in the speedboat. Riley wanted to cry when he saw the sight of Ash, he wanted to jump out of the water and tackle Ash into a bear hug at that moment but, couldn't. The blonde was frozen in place as he  watched both him and Ash.

Riley saw Ash looking behind the boat with a frown and turned to see their hometown, GraceField. Riley then frowned when he noticed the familiar scene and frowned even more when he saw his past self start shaking his head and smile.

"Shut up Ash, we're coming back! We just gotta deal with all this shit first" Riley's past self had said with a smile, he remembered being really pumped up at the time.

Riley then turned to look at the past Ash, "Right...." Past Ash said quietly as he turned around and sat properly in the boat, now looking like he was in his thoughts. ".....do you think we're doing the right thing though? Like, what if this is a trap and we don't come back? What if we both end up dead?" Past Ash explained quietly as he looked up at past Riley with a serious exspression, only looking at past Riley's back since past Riley was turned around driving the boat.

Riley watched as his past self was quiet for a moment before finally speaking, "We will come back ok? No one is gonna die, we'll all come back safe and sound and then....we can all live a normal life together" past Riley answered before focusing back on the waters.

When Riley's past self had said that, Riley started to feel the guilt in his stomach, making him want to scream out. Riley then turned to look at past Ash, 'No, please don't say it' Riley thought to himself as he looked at past Ash.

"Promise?" Past Ash asked quietly as he tilted his head with a curious exspression, making Riley feel the guilt rise up into his throat, making his throat feel tight.

Before Riley could hear his past self answer he was suddenly pulled down under water by a pair of hands, making Riley scream out in fear as he was pulled under the dark waters. Riley looked around quickly in fear as he tried to find who was dragging him down under water, only to open his mouth to scream when he looked down to see Ash himself pulling him down under water.

Riley woke up quickly in a cold sweat with wide eyes, "Ash!?" Riley shouted as he quickly looked around, only to see he was back in Norman and Ray's mansion's barn, where their horses are kept. Riley happened to have passed out, laying on a haystack block and sat up, Riley heard the horses in the barn neighing loudly at eachother as Riley looked around.

It was just a dream.

Riley got up with a frown, walking over to the exit of the barn, only to yelp in suprise when Hayato suddenly came out of no where. "Riley!" Hayato yelled as Riley looked at the blonde with a surprised but also confused look.

"Y-Yeah?" Riley asked quietly, still in shock from both the dream he had and Hayato's sudden appearance.

"We gotta get ready! Norman's parents are here! Come on! We gotta hurry!" Hayato said before running off, Riley nodded before running out of the barn and heading back to the mansion, to his room to get ready.

The guilt within Riley still there...

I hope you enjoyed this chapter! Also, originally Riley's name was spelled R-i-l-e-y but, if you see it spelled R-y-l-i-e in some chapters, don't mind it! It's only because I like both ways it's spelt and end up getting the name mixed up since the letters in both of them are exactly the same 🥲
