A Day Later...

I walked in the hallways in me and Norman's mansion, humming my mother's lullaby as I walked. I ran my hand along the walls of the mansion with a small calm smile until, I heard a familiar voice call my name frm behind me, I turned and looked to see Emma.

"Oh...hi Emma, is there something you need?" I asked quietly as I gave her a serious look, Emma walked over slowly with an unreadable exspression.

When Emma finally stood in front of me she looked up at me with a glare and clenched teeth. "How could you be so happy and care free with what's happening to us right now" Emma said to me with venom. I just looked at he tangerine with disgust.

This pissed the tangerine off and she was about to yell at me until, she glanced behind me and froze. Emma quickly stepped back as she looked behind me with abit of fear, I was confused so, I glanced abit behind me to see why she was scared, only to see my amazing fiancé, Norman. Norman stared Emma with a look that showed dominance, a look that said 'go on, what were you gonna say? I dare you to say it'. Emma looked to the side before running off back upstairs and to her room.

When Emma was gone, I just skipped over to the table where Norman was reading a book and sat down right next to him. It was silent for a moment until I spoke, "What book ate you reading?" I asked quietly as I looked at him.

He didn't answer for a few seconds, mostly focused on the spot he was reading on the page of his book. After those few seconds though, Norman closed his book abit and looked right at me with a confused exspression, "Hm?" Norman hummed confused to which I laughed abit.

"I asked what book your reading?" I said with a small laugh to which Norman smiled and blushed in embarrassment as he laughed.

"Ah yes, I'm reading a horror book, it's a story about a boy who gets kidnapped and his mother is a detective so, she tries to find him. While she tries to look for him, the boy meets the other people that got kidnapped with him and...." Norman stopped talking, "it's a good book, you should read it sometime, I wouldn't want to spoil" Norman finished with a calm smile.

(Future book? Probably, who knows? 😏)

I nodded with a smile, happy Norman answered my question before, there was another calm silence. Norman then took a deep breath, "Ray, sweetheart?" Norman asked to which I looked over at him.

"Yes darling?" I asked as I looked at him, listening closely to what he wanted to say. Norman smiled at that before speaking.

"Tonight, my parents are coming here for dinner to talk about plans for our wedding in a few weeks and the guests that'll be coming, things like that so, I want you to be ready before they get here ok?" Norman explained to which I nodded with abit of a annoyed exspression. Norman's father Peter was ok but, his wife, Norman's mother, Natalie was the one I hated.

"What's with the face?" Norman said as he put his hand on my cheek and looked at me, I sighed before answering.

"It's just, I don't really like your mother...she's a-"

"Bitch? Whore? Slut? Dumbass? She goes by many names" Norman interrupted me with a calm smile as he nodded in agreement to me not likeing his mother, he didn't like her at a either. I just nodded at what he said.

"Don't worry, I won't let her mess with you" Norman said as he then wrapped his arm around my shoulder and began to relax. I smiled at what he said and nodded.

Silence.

"Norman?" I asked after a moment of silence.

"Yes my treasure?" Norman answered as he looked at me with a rose brow with a smile.

"Your birthday is on the 21st this month right?" I said to which Norman nodded.

"Yes, why do you ask?" Norman.

"Well, when's the wedding?" Me.

"March 26th, 4 days after my birthday" Norman confirmed to which I nodded, "I wanted our wedding to be after my birthday so, I could start my 21 years of life with our wedding also, so we could be the same age" Norman then said as he gave me a loving smile.

"Oh" was all I said. After a moment of silence I then spoke again, "What do you plan on doing for your birthday?" I had asked.

"Well, I don't really want anything big....all I want is to spend time with you, that's all" Norman said with a calm sigh, "But, I guess I wouldn't mind doing something big, as long as I'm with you......what do you think?" Norman then said/asked.

I took a moment to think, what should we do for his birthday? On my birthday almost a month and a half ago, Norman and I went to a winter festival since it was still winter at the time. Maybe me and Norman could stay home and have a party?.....nah, that would be kind of boring, Norman wasn't really into parties unless, it was for someone special or for a special occasion and sometimes he would go to a party if he was bored. I'm gonna have to think on this more....

"Hm, I'm gonna have to think about it" I said to Norman to which he nodded in understanding.

"Ok, that's fine-" before Norman could finish his sentence, Jin suddenly came running over to us out of no where calling Norman's name.

"What?" Norman asked as he looked over at Jin with a glare for interrupting him. Jin sighed before speaking, me and Norman paying attention closely.

"Father and Mother are here" Jin said quietly to which Norman's eyes widen abit in surprise.

"Already? I thought they were coming tonight like they said?" Norman said as he got up quickly, grabbing my hand gently so I could get up also.

"Welp, I guess they changed their plans and came early" Jin said with a shrug to which Norman groaned in annoyance.

Norman then showed a fake smile, "it's fine, it's fine!" Norman said to reassure us when really, he was only saying that to reassure himself so he didn't have an outburst.

Norman then turned to me, "I'll be right back, I'll go greet my parents with Jin and Hayato, while I do that I want you to get ready ok?" Norman said to which I nodded.

Norman and Jin then ran off downstairs to greet their parents while I went off to my room to get ready.
