'The BLACK LIZARD!'

The Armed Detective Agency was attacked by the Port-Mafia's military squad called, the Black Lizard! But the entire squad was defeated, Thanks to the battle skills of Kunikida, Dr. Yosano, and Kenji.
All of them humiliated the entire team with ease.

Right now, we all were busy cleaning the room, Dazai was not seen in the office since the incident happened or I could say before the incident happened. But in his case, I am not that surprised but Emily was called by our President for some job so she went off.

I was picking up some messed files from the floor and then a clink sound caught my attention as I turn around to look at Ranpo who had a glass bottle in his hand and was sitting on top of the desk.

"Hey, hey, Harunochi! ..I have a challenge for you. Can you take the marble out of this bottle?" Ranpo asked to one of thr part time worker who works here as one of our assistant.

"Sure, I think ..I can do that!" She replied breaking the glass bottle into pieces and handing the ball of marble to Ranpo.

"Is this what you wanted?" She asked handing over the marble to him.

"Umm hmm. Marbles are lovely. Aren't they?" Ranpo mesmerized glancing at the blue marble.

"A marble? Seriously?" I muttered to myself looking at how carefree he was sitting there on top of his desk, while we all were busy cleaning the room.

"Now, that you mentioned it. Yes, Marbles are nice" The secretary said and I sweat dropped.

I walked to Kunikida who was arranging files in the shelves. "Isn't Ranpo gonna help us to clean up the office?" I asked but I was cut off by "Hey Kunikida!" Ranpo called and I was taken a back thinking that he might have heard me.

"I can't stay.. I need to head off to a job soon" Ranpo said standing up on the floor.

"Oh, have you been called to assist with a new murder case?" Kunikida asked.

"Yup! ..the police in this city can't even nab a single criminal without my help. The fact is, my Ultra Deduction ability is the best ability in this agency, or even in the whole nation!! ..I guess, it's no wonder that everyone depends on it" Ranpo said smiling as he continued to praise himself.

"We are all indebted to you, Ranpo!" Kunikida praised.

"Good, as long as you are aware! ..Though you call yourselves as a Detective Agency, you all can't deduce better than a single monkey. The only reason you can call yourselves a detective agency and function as one is because of my ability, the Ultra Deduction!!" Ranpo continued walking to leave the room and I narrowed my eyes this whole time thinking how much he was bragging about his own skills.

"What you do is truly amazing! ..With your Ultra-Deduction ability, you can see right to the heart of any case instantly." The secratary praised.

"You are a 'Role Model' for the Agency, No! ..for all gifted people actually!" Kunikida also praised.

"Yeahh you are right" Ranpo replied letting out a sigh.

I stood straight looking at him and seeing how all of the people in the agency depends on Ranpo soooo much.

But then a voice beside me caught my attention, "Hey Kid!" Kunikida called as I responded, "Y-yes?" looking up at him.

"Never mind the clean up here. You are done. You need to go with Ranpo! ..You two will travel by Train." Kunikida said.

"I-I am gonna be a .. detective's assistant?! That's a great responsibility!!" I nervously mumbled taking a step back.

Ranpo laughs, "Don't be silly! ..I am not a two-bit detective. I don't need an assistant!" He said.
