Emily's pov :

"Why did you two want to come back here of all places?" Kunikida asked as he stood infront of us.

The three of us were in the abandoned hospital. Me sitting on a chair with my injured leg which was fine now after taking those painkillers offcourse. And Dazai was leaning on the handle of the chair.

"Check this out" Dazai said as he handed Kunikida a USB drive that I found earlier.

"What's that?" He asked.

"It's a survey and analysis of Yokohama city, that Emily found in the enemy's hideout." Dazai said.

"Surprisingly, it concludes that in order to take control over the city, they must eradicate the Armed Detective Agency!" I continued.

"Why us? It's the Port-Mafia that controls the Underworld!" Kunikida said.

"It's true.. but maybe they were given false information on purpose. They were manipulated!" Dazai explains.

"So there's another mastermind!" Kunikida stated as I look up at him nodding my head.

"Yes, and I have sent an e-mail to the person that Dazai and I believed to be behind all this." I said and the blonde man perked up glancing at both of us.

"I told them that we have proof that they are responsible, so they should be arriving here any moment now." I said and just as I finished my sentence, few footsteps were heard. The three of us gaze on the door to see none other than Taguchi Rokuzou coming inside.

Kunikida's eyes were widened, "N-no.. it can't be you! ..You are the one Rokuzou?!"

"What the heck are you talking about?" Taguchi asks in confusion and he looks at Dazai and me, "So, the showdown hasn't started yet?"

"Sneaky!" Dazai said in a chorus with a little smirk on his face. "You took a peek at my e-mail by hacking into my account, didn't you?" I questioned.

"Are you the one responsible!?" Kunikida asked worried and in disbelief.

"Nooo, I just wanted to look at the person who is actually responsible for all this" Taguchi replies.

"So it's really not you!? Right-----" Kunikida ranted as he was quickly pushed to the sides by Taguchi and two bullets were just shot at him.

"Rokuzou!!!" I worriedly called quickly catching him and kneeling down on the floor as Dazai pulls out his gun, aiming it towards the direction where the bullets came from.

A familiar woman just walks in pointing her gun at us. "So you are the Azure Messenger, huh?" Dazai stated as Sasaki reveals herself.

"U-unbelievable" Kunikida mumbles shockingly looking at her.

"I doubt that this is the first time you used your deep knowledge of Psychology to execute a crime" Dazai said still holding the gun up at her.

"The Azure King was a man who lived for his ideals. He wanted to destroy the criminal world, his intentions were pure and was willing to get blood on his hands. I just wanted to fulfill is vision, make his ideal come true." Sasaki says and I remembered the moment when I edited and scanned the video to see Sasaki's image on the Azure King's eyes.

"You were deeply in love with the Azure King, weren't you? ..It's true that he was idealist to determine and punish the criminals who manage to get around the law. But he used illegal means to do it." I said still holding Taguchi who was covered with blood but was somehow concious.

"Put down your gun! You have caused enough harm already!" Kunikida shouts at Sasaki.

"Don't you understand? It's strange that you stopped him years ago, but now you remind me of him." Sasaki states glancing at Kunikida.

"You developed a very sophisticated plan for revenge. Without committing a single crime of your own, you set up the agency to take the fall. And you destroyed both the kidnapper and the criminal organization behind him. But you, yourself have no convictions nor ideals." Dazai said glaring at her with the gun in his hand.

Sasaki lets out a sigh dropping her arm and holding her gun on her side as she looks up at the ceiling.

"I am just tired now, I want to be release from all this. Will you please shoot me? Please.. Dazai? ..I suppose, you can't because I lowered my gun. If you shoot me now, that would be a crime. An excessive use of force, and Kunikida and Emily would be a witness." Sasaki said as she smiled looking at us.

Dazai sighs, "True, but I am not going to shoot you"

"However....." And with that, Dazai who was standing beside me, just drops his gun on Rokuzou whom I was holding.

Immediately, three loud gunshots echoed in the room as Sasaki's body falls down on the ground making a pool of blood. Taguchi killed her.

"I am here because the Azure King killed my Dad. Good riddance to his follower..." Taguchi barely spoke up in his last breath, and then his head drops on my shoulder. Also the gun with which he killed Sasaki, falls down.

"Rest in peace.. Taguchi.." I whispered sighing down at the teen boy.

"B-but why!? ....Why did it have to end this way?!! ..What went wrong?! Who was wrong!?!?" Kunikida shouted.

"No one was wrong" Dazai calmly said as I gently laid down Taguchi's dead body on the floor, standing up next to Dazai.

"This was the only possible outcome" Dazai spoke up and Kunikida immediately turn to us grabbing Dazai's collar.

"K-kunikida.. stop---" I lift up my hand to stop them but the blonde man shouts.

"Shut up!!! ..You are lying!! ..You could've saved Sasaki!! You could've saved her!! ..Are you two really telling me that this is justice!?!!" Kunikida yells glaring at both of us.

"To us, Justice is a weapon. It can be used to cause harm, but it cannot protect or save others. What killed Sasaki was the justice of the Azure King....and the same justice that you believe in." Dazai says and I sighed.

Kunikida gritted his teeth pushing Dazai away.

"Kunikida! ..As long as you pursue your ideals, the angry flames that burned in the Azure King years ago, will one day take root in you too. They will destroy everything around you." I calmly said looking at him.

"You are wrong!!! ..I will still push pass through those flames. Don't underestimate my ideals!!" Kunikida stated frowning at both of us, which made me furrow my eyebrows.

But at the end his determination made us smile too.
