Emily's pov :

It was the same day, in evening and all four of us were standing infront of an old building that almost look like it would broke down any moment.

"We turned the driver over to the police" Dazai informed and I nodded in agreement.

"So? This is the same building the organ smugglers use for their hideout.." Atsushi said.

The four of us just went inside. The building was sealed years ago after a certain accident. Broken windows, broken doors, cracked walls and all empty halls, it was all silent just like the time when we visited the abandoned hospital.
We raided the place and we searched for the smugglers gang but no one was found there.

"They already left" Kunikida said as Atsushi looked around.

"The walls are completely scorched black." Atsushi said.

"This is where the Azure King blew himself up.. isn't it?" Dazai mentioned and I looked around at the burned building which still had traces of that explosion.

"Correct" Kunikida replied.

Atsushi looks a bit confused. No doubt he's a new one in the agency but he also knew a little things. "What? Are you talking about the Azure Flag Terrorist incident? You mean, that Azure King?!" He asks.

"That's right. A terrorist who destroyed many national and corporate facilities. When Dazai and I heard the term 'Azure Messenger', we have been wondering if they were connected to the Azure King somehow!" I answered.

"That terrorist bombings.. it was quite terrifying though" Dazai sighed.

"I remember seeing the news coverage all about that explosion, so this is where it happened! ..the Azure King committed suicide after the police cornered him, right?" Atsushi asked.

"Exactly, I had determined this is to be his hideout and reported the location to the local police." Kunikida said.

"You were the one who found the Azure King's hideout? So..then, what happened next? Wasn't it a big operation?" Atsushi asks as he turn to look over at the blonde haired man standing infront of us.

"The Military, homeland security, and the police were all working together that day, so the chain of command was in utter chaos. It created alot of confusions. Upon receiving report, only five detectives arrived at this hideout in a timely manner! ..To add further insult to injury, the Azure King got wind of the police's actions, so he holed himself with a bomb inside this building. After a set of conflicting orders, a decision was made to raid the building. However, ordinary policemen without special training or supernatural abilities, they didn't stand a chance. Cornered, the Azure King blew himself up and died along with the five detectives." Kunikida explains.

"I remember that well, the five detectives that were deployed that day. One of them was Taguchi Rokuzou's father, wasn't he?" I sighed looking at the blonde haired man who had his back turn to the three of us.

"He was a good man. He was a excellent detective with a strong sense of justice. I am the one who reported the hideout's location to the police. If, I hadn't then maybe none of this would've happened. I may as well have set the bomb off myself.." Kunikida sighed blaming himself which made our eyebrows frown as Dazai and I shared glances before looking back at the blonde haired man again.

"That's not true!! .. It's the terrorist's fault for blowing himself up!" Atsushi said and Dazai spoke up, "You are absolutely right! ..Even so, Kunikida can't stop trying to look out for that Rokuzou boy to take him under his wing in place of his dead father."

Just then, we heard a sound of notification popping out on a screen of laptop that was on the desk infront of the four of us. And hearing the alert sound, Kunikida walks towards it and checks it out.
