Two friends stood outside an old farmhouse. It was late afternoon, Adam and D'artagnan looked at the creepy old house and had heard stories about it. Especially the most famous one about the Perron Family. They wondered if that place was truly haunted or if the movies were exaggerating it. D'artagnan wasn't too excited about going into the house since he had believed in it the most. His stomach was in knots as they walked closer toward the door.
"Dude, I don't think we should be here," D'artagnan said. "I don't feel safe,"
"Oh come on," Adam responded. "Are you telling me that the movies scare you?"
"I'm saying that it's not safe," D'artagnan responded. "I think we should not go in at all,"
"It's not too bad," Adam explained. "The only thing we have to worry about are the demons,"
"You realize that this house is filled with nothing but demons right?" Questioned D'artagnan. "Which means evil, which also means we need to leave,"
"Stop chickening out," Adam said as he rolled his eyes, he walked toward the front door and pushed it open. The minute he did, he stepped inside and a smirk appeared on his face as he was now ready to scare the shit out of his friend. "Ahh!" exclaimed Adam, causing D'artagnan to jump in fright.
"What?!" exclaimed D'artagnan as he raced into the house only to find that his friend was perfectly fine, he glared at Adam and slapped him in the arm. "Asshole,"
"Hey I'm not the one who let the movies get to them," the two friends began to walk around the house, though as they did it suddenly dropped and they could smell sulfur the minute they walked into the living room. Which had been empty except for the couch, they stood in the middle as the door to the basement creaked open. They turned on their phone flashlights and looked over at the door. Without either saying a word, they made their way closer to the basement door. The two began to walk downstairs, they were halfway down when suddenly the door closed. Dust flew everywhere as the friends raced back up trying to get the door open but when it wouldn't budge the friends looked at each other worriedly.
"I knew we shouldn't have come down here," D'artagnan stated. "Nothing good ever happens in the basement!"
"Stop acting that way!" exclaimed Adam. "Come on, there might be another way," reluctantly, D'artagnan and Adam walked downstairs only for their flashlights to start flickering rapidly. Suddenly, before they could even react they saw something that they wished they had never seen. It didn't take long before the two were attacked and killed by this thing, the only thing that was by them had been their phones, one of which was recording everything. Sam waited patiently for Dean to show up, the disguised angel was used to Dean being a bit late as he liked to sleep. Something he didn't understand, why did humans require things like sleep? It seemed to be more bothersome than relaxing. Because he was in a vessel he saw a ton of human memories inside the man's head.
"Sorry I'm late," Dean called out as he rushed to the table in the cafe.
"Did you sleep in again?" Sam asked with a smile. Since Dean was in charge it was his responsibility to keep an eye on him.
"Nope, Cass had me up early doing archery," Dean said, taking his seat.
"I like archery," Sam responded. He recalls using different weapons with his older brothers when he was younger. Most of them used angel blades but a few were required to use a bow mostly by low-level angels like cupids. Sam was an exception since he was a guardian angel, he had to be trained how to use both weapons. He wondered if Dean's adopted brother was preparing him for what was to come.
"You say that about everything Sammy," Dean laughed. It surprised him that Sam seemed to be amazed by everything he was told or saw.
"Maybe I'm just amazed by you," Sam teased. "Even if you're a jerk,"
"Don't be bitching bitch," Dean responded even though he knew Sam was joking. A waitress came by their table to take their order, interrupting their conversation.
"What can I get you guys?" She asked and Dean smiled at the sight of her. He flirted with her and asked if she was on the menu much to Sam's annoyance and confusion.
"Ignore him, he's an idiot," Sam said to the waitress. "He'll have the special with a side of bacon and coffee," he continued.
"Do you want anything?" She asked as she was writing the order down.
"No thank you I don't eat food," Sam answered which earned him a confused look. Realizing what he said, Sam corrected himself. "What I mean is that I don't eat between meals, I eat three times a day,"
"Let me know if you change your mind," She said with a wink before walking off. Dean certainly didn't stare at her as she walked away.
"I don't eat food you really got to stop saying that," Dean said to his friend.
"The waitress made me choke okay?" Sam lied. Since he was an angel he didn't require food or water, plus he only tasted atoms when he tried to eat.
"I get it, she's pretty hot," Dean answered. "But you really need to find a girl who is more your area," he continued.
"Dating isn't something I would do," Sam responded. Dean faked a yawn and told Sam he was bored.
"You're no fun, Sammy," Dean complained
"I don't have time for girls, I'm too busy running around after you," Sam told him. His tone made it seem like a joke since he didn't want to blow his cover just yet. Meanwhile, Castiel's parents had called him back to the house due to them finding another case. While they wanted so desperately to get out of the hunting lifestyle, they knew that it was almost time for Dean to go on his first trip with Castiel. Castiel entered the house since Dean was still with Sam and saw his parents were going over old newspaper clippings when they looked up and saw Castiel enter.
"Where's Dean?" Castiel's father said.
"He's um.. Out," Castiel responded even though he wanted to tell his parents where Dean had gone, he knew that nothing good ever came from that, especially since his parents were going to become overprotective.
"He's out with that friend he won't tell us about, isn't he?" Mrs. Novak asked and even though Castiel tried to deny it, there was no use. The two knew their adopted son too well and how he always hung out with his friend they had never seen.
"Perhaps he's got a secret girlfriend," Mr. Novak suggested as Castiel asked if there was anything they needed.
"Mother, Father I don't mean to be rude but what is the reason you called me?" Castiel asked.
"Cass there's something you should see," his mother told him. She gave her son a sad look before handing him the laptop so he could see the video. Castiel watched it with unease as he recognized the house, the signs of demon activity, and how the screen cracked at the end. It seemed that whatever the demons had done to their victims didn't make it on camera.
"The police found it about three hours ago, by the time they got there both teens were long dead," Castiel knew what this meant. They had to tell Dean the truth before the demons got their hands on him.
