Sam was able to sense the demon activity thanks to his grace, worried he was going to go find Dean knowing that the demons would be looking for him. However, he picked up over angel radio that Michael wanted to see him. No doubt this meant he would have to go back to Heaven and speak with the council of archangels. With a heavy sigh, he flew off and found his older brother standing in front of the golden gates.

"Samuel I'm glad you got my message," Michael said to him.

"I have a guess as to what this is about, but I can't stay long. My charge is in danger," Sam answered. Michael nodded and led his younger brother to where the other archangels and their father God sat. Sam's wings shifted uncomfortably against his back as his worries for Dean grew.

"Father, there is a matter of great urgency that I must discuss with you," Sam said.

"I have been briefed already but tell me what you have found out, I am here to listen, my son," God answered. Sam explained how he felt the return of an old demon roaming earth and how it had killed four people already.

"It seems that the demons are after my charge since he is the true vessel for Michael," Sam said.

"Father, what do you suggest we do?" Michael asked. He was now very worried for not only his vessel but all the humans below. His worry was shared by all of his brothers who were sitting near him.

"For years the demons have tried to overthrow me under orders of Lucifer," God answered. "But if they manage to all of the mortals will be slaughtered,"

"We can't let that happen," Michael answered immediately.

"Agreed," Gabriel said from his seat.

"Samuel, I need you to keep an eye on Dean," God said to the young angel. "He can't be away from you at any time," he continued.

"Yes father," Sam answered. Even though Sam wanted to hide his wings, he felt that there was no other choice but to reveal himself to Castiel. He could already sense that they were going to head to the famous conjuring house where the four victims were found. He hoped that he could keep his angelic powers a secret from Dean. Taking a deep breath, Sam went back down to the human world and arrived at Castiel's house. He wasn't sure where Dean had gone but he hoped that he wasn't inside. Sam walked over to the door and knocked on it, Castiel was inside jotting down notes about the victims who had been found dead when he heard someone knock on the door.

"It's open," Castiel called out since he had been the only one home. Castiel had sent Dean to get some groceries and food so that way they would be on their way to Rhode Island before the sun went down.

"Excuse me," Sam said to Castiel, causing lights around him to break. Castiel jumped and thinking that Sam was a monster attacked him. Sam knew that the knife wouldn't do anything but he let Castiel stab him anyway. "That won't hurt me," he commented. In shock, Castiel pulled his knife away and wondered how Sam wasn't injured in the slightest. Castiel backed away and grabbed the flask of holy water that was sitting on the table and sprayed it on Sam when nothing happened Castiel remained confused.

"Who are you?" Castiel said.

"Samuel, I'm Dean's guardian angel," Sam answered. "You and I have much to discuss with you, Castiel Novak," While Sam and Castiel were talking, Dean was at the store getting a few groceries for him and his brother when one of the workers made their way over.

"Is there anything I can help you with sir?" the worker said even though it was actually a demon speaking.

"No, just looking for the water," Dean answered.

"I know exactly where that is," said the worker as he grabbed Dean by the arm. "Come on I'll show you," Dean got uncomfortable and tried to pull away but the worker grabbed tighter.

"Hey, can you let go?" Dean asked, still trying to free himself. He didn't let anyone touch him like this without permission and this was definitely invading personal space. "Seriously let go!" Dean exclaimed. The worker shoved Dean out the side exit into an alleyway and pushed Dean against the wall revealing deep black irises.

"Sorry Dean, not going to happen," the worker said. "You see we've been looking for you for years,"

"What the hell?!" Dean cried out. He had no idea what was happening, why was this person attacking him and how did he know who he was. "Who and what are you? And how do you know my name?" He crawled back attempting to escape but the demon was faster grabbing onto his leg and making Dean remain still. "You're crazy," Dean said to the demon.

"I'm a demon dumbass, a lot stronger than you," the demon said. "We've heard so much about you Winchester, especially about your destiny,"

"You sound like a maniac, demons don't exist!" Dean declared bravely. However, he was scared out of his mind. The demon laughed and said he sounded like a cry baby. The demon got closer intending to grab Dean before anything could happen; the demon was thrown against the wall. Dean looked around for whoever or whatever saved him and to his surprise, he saw Sam.

"Are you alright?" Sam asked as he walked over to his charge.

"Sam, that guy had black eyes, and then he tried to kill me. What is happening?" Dean asked. If someone didn't tell him what was going on he was going to scream.

"We'll explain everything but first, let's get back to the house," Sam responded, helping Dean up from the ground.

"We?" Dean asked. Before Sam could even answer Dean was nearly tackled by his older brother.

"Dean, are you okay?" Castiel asked. Dean said nothing because right now he wasn't sure if he was okay. Quickly while the demon was unconscious, Sam and Castiel brought Dean back to the house and closed the door hoping that they were going to be safe. "I know this is going to come as a shock to you," he continued, "But that thing was a demon,"

"But I thought demons were make-believe?" Dean asked. He knew now that monsters were real but demons? It was like angels being real.

"Let me ask you this," Sam said. "Do you believe in angels?" Dean didn't like being asked that question because there was a time when he did. Before his parents died he was pretty faithful but that all vanished after the accident.

"I did a long time ago," Dean answered. "But what does that matter?" He asked how was believing angels necessary at the moment?

"You've lost your faith," Sam said to his charge. He could read Dean's mind and sense all the trauma he had experienced, it slashed at his faith until there was almost none of it left. Sam decided that now was the time to reveal himself to Dean, lighting flashed behind revealing his wings. "But it can be found," Sam continued. Dean stepped away in shock thinking he was seeing things.

"Sammy what.." Dean started but couldn't finish. What was he supposed to say to something like that? "I must be dreaming," he said to himself.

"No Dean none of this is happening inside your unconscious mind," Sam explained, he continued but rather than talking anymore, Castiel explained to Dean that he wasn't going to go to the conjuring house with him. Dean was not happy about that since he wanted to help his brother and a demon wasn't going to get in his way.

"Forget it," Dean said. "I'm going with you whether you guys like it or not,"

"Dean, as your guardian angel I really would suggest that you not go," Sam suggested. However, it fell to deaf ears as Dean was already out the door. Sam had forgotten that his charge wasn't going to listen. "So much for explaining things to him,"

"I'm going to go catch up with Dean before he decides it's a good idea to take the car," Castiel said as he walked out the door. While Sam hated where they were going, there was no other choice but to follow his charge and Castiel.

"I'm coming with you," Sam said as he left the house and followed both toward the car. Dean had already gotten into the passenger seat while Sam appeared in the back seat and Castiel climbed into the driver's seat. Without a second thought, the trio left the driveway and began making their trek toward Rhode island.
