One week later

I wake up that morning so frightened at what will happen today. I lay awake in my bed thinking about everything I'll be leaving behind. I wonder what my mom and dad know about this. I mean they had to do this before right?

I hear someone knock on my door. "Yes?" I say. "It's mom! Sweetie are you awake?" She says. Hearing her voice makes tears well up in my eyes. I'm about to break out in sobs. I can't I tell myself stay strong. "Yes mommy I'm awake." I say. I haven't called her mommy since I was 9. "Okay sweetie. I laid your clothes out in front of your door. I washed them last night for you." She says. "Thank you I love you!" I say. "Love you too. Get ready please." She says walking back downstairs.

I'm not ready to leave the only life I know. I make my bed. Then I go get dressed. In my bathroom mirror I have a family photo. It has Alexis, Kyle, Me, Justin, Mom Her real name is Caroline, and Dad his real name is Robert. I stare at the picture for at least 5 minutes crying. Then I remember I want to try to escape and find out the truth about Justin. But what kind of security will they have? I didn't think about that.

I say bye to Mom and Alexis at the house. Alexis Couldn't stop crying and asking when I'll be home again. I couldn't cry not in front of Lexi I had to be strong for her and my Mom. "I love you both sooo much Mom and Lexi!" I say trying to hold back the tears forming in my eyes. "I love you too Liz. When will I see you again Lizzy?" Lexi asks. "Not soon enough." I answer giving her one last hug. I hug my mom. "They wouldn't hurt I promise." She whispers in my ear. She shared info about it. I'm shocked and relieved at the same time. "I love you so much mommy!" I say "I Love you too dear."

We leave the house both my mom and Lexi crying. My dad and Kyle chat a lot about I don't know guy stuff. I stay silent. Then I think what about Travis and his brothers. We pull up to a 70 foot tall building with like white stone brick stuff. There were two floors. The second floor bottom was entirely made of glass same as the roof. We walk up to a desk. "We have to say good-bye here." Says my dad. I hug him so tight I think he turned bright red. "I love you Daddy so much." I say. "I love you too sweetie You'll be fine I promise. They'll take across the land you'll live there start a family and live happily ever after." He says. He told me what is going to happen. Why would he to that? Wouldn't he get in trouble? I'm so glad he told me though. The lady behind the desk Sara I think she said her name was takes us down a back hallway. Kyle and I part ways cause he is a boy and I'm a girl the separate us. I quickly see Travis it looks like he's been crying.

"You will follow me." Sara says. I wasn't paying attention to her I was looking at Travis and Kyle. "HELLO!" She says really loudly. "Sorry." I say "It's ok it always happens. You will follow me. I'll ask you a bunch of questions then you will go on a car blind folded to your new home." She says. I don't wanna move who knows how far away from my family.

"Okay." I say. "First question. What is you full name." She asks "Elizabeth Joy Baker." I answer. "Good. Now who are your parents?" she asks.

"Caroline and Robert Baker." I answer. "Great. Do you have siblings?" She asks. "Yes. Alexis and Kyle. I also had an older brother Justin but he was killed 3 years ago." I say almost about to cry thinking about him. "I'm so sorry for your lost." She says. "Thank you" I say not knowing what else to say. "Ok thank you for your corporation." She says. "You will be or truck 1026. With four boys and 3 other girls. Follow me to the truck." She says. "Okay" I say and I follow her.
