Chapter five!

We enter the cafeteria it's way bigger then I expected. There were lots of picnic like tables in a row. Luke and I walk in line together. There was chicken, peas, carrots, and some green beans.

I grab some chicken and green beans. I've never liked peas or carrots. "Um do you wanna sit with me or with a total stranger?" Luke asks. "Sure I guess you are more then just a total stranger. Your more like just a stranger." I say with a laugh. He starts to laugh. "I'll take that as a yes." He says.

We sit down no one else was sitting near us it was weird. "So tell me about your parents?" Luke asks. "Um well my mom is a teacher. She teaches 7th grade. My dad owned a company that sold shoes. Then the government shut down his business. Now he's waiting for the government to place him in a job." I say. "Aww that sucks how long has he been out if a job?" He asks. "Um a few months If I remember. What about your parents?" I ask. Taking a mouthful of chicken. "Well my mom died a few minutes after I was born. My dad was captured by the government and no one has heard from him since. My brother and sisters and I moved in with some friends." He says surprisingly strongly if it was me telling some one that I just met I'd probably almost start crying. "I'm so sorry I shouldn't have brought it up." I say. "It's ok I've told the story so many times it doesn't hurt anymore." He says. How can it not hurt to talk about your dead parents I think to myself. "What was it like where you lived." I asked him. "It was a small house but it fit my brother and sisters and I." He says. We finish eating then Jen comes. "Okay I'm here to take you back to your room." Jen says. Then Levi comes and Luke and Levi leave. "Bye Luke." I tell him. "Bye." He says back. "Okay let's go." I say to Jen.

We walk back to my room. "Okay we will be getting you up at 7:30." Jen says. "Okay." I reply. By this time it's 8:30 we were eating for 2 and a half hours. The hours really flew by. I think I was starting to like Luke
