The truth

Chapter 21

Luke's POV:

Are days are the same as they were before Liz was taken. Do they even care that one of the recruits was taken? Probably not the people said they worked for the government and they can't object to the government.
I walk to the cafeteria for breakfast after I showered and got dressed. I hate having to walk down these halls all alone, it feels darker now even though there are so many windows.
As I walk into the cafeteria I see Maddie and Eddie sitting alone at a table, I go get a plate of Pancakes and some orange juice.

I sit down next to Eddie and Maddie. I don't say anything I just sit and eat. I think about some escape plan to get to Liz.

Elizabeth's POV:

I try starting a fire cause it'll definitely be dark soon. Why did I run? What if ever thing he said was actually the truth?
If it was the truth he wouldn't have to tell my parents that their children are dead! I really hope they don't go and take Kyle he needs to be left out of the crap and live a normal life while as normal as he can in this world!
I get some twigs and dry grass to get some flame so I get some more little pieces of wood and slowly the fire start to heat up the cave and also shed some light so I can see.
It's a tall cave but not super wide but wide enough where no one would know I'm here and the fire should keep me nice and warm tonight!
I'll worry about food tomorrow.
As I look around the walls of the cave I see weird drawings of people with spears and animals running away.
It was very odd. I just look away and not really think about the old world, but I do anyway. What was it like before the stupid War of Nations! We learn little about it in school and stuff it started in 2020 with Isis and America and it ended on 3000 80 years of war we finally won and split up 8 sectors so now everything is decided for us!
We are in a little war with sector 8 and 9 technically sector 9 doesn't exist but it does, 8 and 9 want complete freedom so when we are taken some people are sent to the front line.
Only sectors 8 and 7 know about 9 because we are the closest to sector 9.

I lay down to get some rest but I can't help but think of my family but mostly I can only think about Luke!
