"You're kidding me," Aaron gawked in disbelief, utterly shocked about what had happened to him during his time of unconsciousness, "I was impaled in my eye by a pencil, which made my eye irreparable, and I've been infused with a heavy dose of magic from this world to bind my life force to this realm?"
A week later, Aaron was discharged from the hospital, but needed a pony with him to help him get around safely. Twilight was walking with Aaron today.
"In essentiality, yes," Twilight agreed, "The worst part is that I think that you're going to be stuck in our world now. I won't be able to recreate the scenario that brought you here."
"Well, if that's what you consider the worst of it, then we apparently have different perspectives on the matter," Aaron replied, "My vision is half gone, and magic of unknown properties to me has been infused into me. Is this like some kind of battery?"
Twilight looked at Aaron with confusion, "Is a battery like a power source?"
"Yes," Aaron explained, "However, the difference between a battery and a power source is that batteries hold a limited amount of energy that won't last as long, but they can be easily replaced, in my world at least."
"Huh," Twilight noted, fascinated by the easily comprehendible explanation that Aaron gave, "Anyways, to answer your question on magic, yes and no."
It was Aaron's turn to look confused, "You're going to have to explain this, then."
"Simply put, you have a certain amount of magical energy to use freely until you become exhausted," Twilight summarized, "However, once you've rested effectively, your magic will be refilled."
Aaron nodded, thinking about something, "So, how can I access my own magic, then?"
Twilight looked at him up and down, analyzing him, "That's a good point. We need to find a way to let any magic that overloads into you out."
"Do you think that Princess Luna might be able to help, or find help?" Aaron asked, concern in his voice.
"I know someone who should be able to help," Twilight replied, a confident smile on her face.
Twilight and Aaron stood at the doors to the throne room in the Canterlot Castle. Twilight did not understand why, but Aaron seemed to be fairly nervous about being in the Castle, "Miss Sparkle, are you sure that this is a good idea? Even if you were Princess Celestia's apprentice, I don't think it's wise to interrupt her during her hours of operation."
"Don't worry yourself so much," Twilight reassured, "Princess Celestia and I keep in touch like this regularly. You'll be fine." She knocked on the door, calling to the guards in the room.
The double doors opened, and Twilight led Aaron up to the thrones of Princesses Celestia and Luna. Princess Celestia was there, currently speaking to a higher management pony. Celestia caught note of the 'elephant in the room', and told the pony, "We'll continue this discussion later."
Twilight looked back to see Aaron on one knee, a hand on the floor for stability, and his face pointed downwards. "Oh for crying out loud," Twilight groaned, trying to pull him upright by pulling on the collar of his shirt with her magic.
Princess Celestia chuckled, "It's nice to see you again, Twilight. I see that the human has recovered."
"Yes, he recovered, but he has yet to adjust to the rules of our society," Twilight reported, grunting and straining from her magical efforts, "His name is Aaron Deltian."
Celestia shook her head, a small smile on her face, "No need for all that, Mister Aaron. Think of me as a reliable mentor and guide, even though I run the country's primary functions."
Aaron raised his head and sat back, his hands supporting his upper body as he leaned back, "Thank you for allowing me to act a bit more casual, your highness."
Princess Celestia looked at him with confusion, before refocusing herself to Twilight, "You don't normally come here of your own will unless there's an issue or you need to know about something specific."
Yeah...," Twilight replied, giving off signs of discomfort, "Aaron and I just realized that since he can absorb magic, he has no way to utilize it, let alone release any excess energy built up."
Princess Celestia looked blankly at Twilight and Aaron, thinking about what her apprentice had just brought up. Her eyes widened with shock, then looked into the distance, thinking about something.
"Your highness?" Aaron asked, concerned, "Do...do you have any ideas?"
Princess Celestia was silent for a moment longer before she stood, heading for the doors leading to the castle halls, "Would both of you follow me, please? We don't have any time to waste."
Aaron and Twilight looked at each other, confused as Twilight trotted after Celestia and Aaron heaved himself off the floor with a grunt, and made his way to catch up to his guides at a fast jog.

On their way to the Canterlot royal library, Princess Celestia told Twilight to find two of the largest shards of the crystal tree that she could find. She disappeared in a flash of light, and Aaron popped off the floor an inch before landing on it again, shaking the castle slightly.
"Sorry," he apologized, "I get easily startled..."
"Don't worry. Let's just get to the library," Celestia reassured him. Surprisingly, Princess Celestia's pace and gait matched Aaron's pretty well.
"Princess," Aaron asked, breathing moderately heavily, "Why are we headed to the library?"
"We need to find a metal material that will pull magic from something at will," she summarized, "Otherwise your body will be over-saturated with magic, and can corrupt you."
"Right," Aaron replied, ducking his head as he nearly hit his forehead on the top of the doorframe, "I just realized that I can't read your language."
Celestia nodded, "Once you can safely harness your magic, you and Twilight should be able to fix that."
"Safety comes before integration," Aaron summarized, mentally noting that, "Dually noted and acknowledged."
