I was fast asleep when BlackPink's As If It's Your Last plays from my phone. I turn over to try and tune it out but my phone wouldn't shut up.
Scowling, I grab my phone and look to see it's Gaby calling me. Feeling my eyes twitch, I press the green call button and put the phone to my ear. "I swear, Grant, you'd better have a good reason for calling me on a Saturday morning."
Gaby scoffs, "Wow, Marcus was right. You really aren't a morning person. And, yes, I do have a good reason. Have you seen Pin?"
I reply, rubbing my right eye, "Not since yesterday. I've been up all night trying to contact him but Pin wouldn't answer any of my calls or texts. He's still at the castle. Why? What's wrong?"
"... Ariel's about to give birth. Marcus can't get a hold of Pin and we can't risk calling a vet. Could you please come down and help us? You've had experiences with foal births," Gaby says after a hesitant pause.
My blue eyes nearly pop out of their sockets at this and I gasp, "I'll be there in five minutes with my medical kit! Keep Ariel calm and relaxed till then."
"Okay. Thank you so much, Izzy," Says Gaby gratefully.
I hang up and throw the blankets off before I literally jump out of bed. I snatch my clothes and get dressed in a short sleeved shirt with a tiger on the front, my plain black jodhpurs and boots, and a tiger head necklace and earrings, leaving my hair unbound. I then throw on my tiger printed jumper and snatch my bag with my purse, phone, headphones and other essentials in it and snatch up my medical kit Steph had gotten for me for my last birthday, due to the incident with Bob.
Steph had been so proud of me, she'd wanted to give me a medical kit for injured or sick horses. If there was ever a time to use it, it's now.
