Bailey's POV

I slowly bat my eyes open and scan the unfamiliar room "Where am I?" I spoke out loud but mainly to myself. I scanned the room noticing white walls, a clear door where I could see the outside hallway and I was in an unfamiliar bed. I started to panic once I realized where I was, I was in a hospital bed. How did I end up here? What happened after Bailey and I found out who kidnapped Rhett?

I anxiously start looking for the nurse call button and when I find it I press it more than once. Trying to calm myself down I slowly breathed in my nose and out my mouth. I was probably overreacting and Grace was on her way to see me right now.

I swung my legs over the edge of the bed and smoothed down my hair as I was waiting for the nurse. How long have I been in here? I wondered to myself.

A nurse comes running in "You're awake! Is everything okay? My name is Lottie and I will be your nurse for today." she has a concerned look on her face as she is trying to read my facial expressions.

She then took out her stethoscope and was listening to what seemed like every part of my body. "You have a major concussion and have been unconscious since last night when you were brought in." She spoke while listening to my chest and running my vitals.

Who brought me in? Where did I fall? Were a couple of questions that were running through my mind but the main one was, where is my best friend?

"Where's grace." More of a statement than a question leaves my mouth as I am sitting in this bed trying to fit missing pieces together.

We were spying on the kidnapper at the restaurant and the last thing I remember was us running away. It all didn't make sense Grace should be here.

She took her stethoscope out of her ears and gently placed it back around her neck "Honey, who's grace?" I felt my heart begin to beat faster as she spoke. "What do you mean, who's Grace? She hasn't been here to visit at all?" I asked her getting more anxious.

"Some guy dropped you off in the emergency room, he said he was your Uber driver. He said he found just you unconscious on the sidewalk." My breathing began to quicken and my heart rate began to rise.

"I was alone when he picked me up?" I spoke out loud but it was more of a question for myself as I was trying to figure out every detail. The nurse looked at me with confusion all over her face, not knowing what to say.

'If I am here, then where is Grace?' I thought to myself and the last thing I remembered was being hit on my back and falling to the ground. I have no recollection on what happened to Grace.

"I need my phone, I have to find grace." the nurse hurriedly left the room to go and try to find my phone and came back a few minutes later. "You were not brought here with a cellphone, can it be at your house?" I know she was just trying to be nice and calm me down by giving me an option on where it could be, but that was one less way that I could find Grace.

"You need to call the police right now!" I yelled and she responded "let me get you the head nurse and we will try to figure this all out, let's not get the police involved yet."

"Call the police now!" I yelled as loud as I could

Grace's POV

"Wake up." I felt a leg kick me and I slowly opened my eyes and tried to register where I was. "I said, wake up!" The voice repeated. Still confused I thought I had to be in a dream or something. I finally opened my eyes and saw the metal roof. Where was I? What happened?

I looked around and saw that I was in the back of a van on the floor. Seeing the wall that divided me and the kidnapper apart, I briefly thought about how that was a good idea on his end.

Slowly sitting up I responded to him saying "I'm awake" I tried moving my hair out of my face when I realized my hands were tied together. I looked down and my feet were also tied up.

"I'll be back for you. Don't try anything." The man who was still wearing a mask said to me as he put duct-tape over my mouth to try and muffle my screaming that he assumed would be coming soon.

He quickly shut the door to the back of the van and I tried to find any way possible to get these ropes off of me. But there was no hope. I was stuck, hopefully Bailey was doing something to find me.

Losing hope, I laid back down flat on my back and wiggled around to try to get comfy. I felt tears burning in my eyes threatening to slip out. Why would he kidnap me? Out of all people, why me?

Before I could think of any answers to my own questions and let my tears hit my cheeks the door swung back open. "I'm going to undo the ropes on your legs and you won't try to run, got it? You will follow me."

I nodded my head vigorously and watched him untie the ropes. He singled for me to help myself out of the van. Which I did because I didn't want to make him angry. I didn't know what he was capable of if he was angry, so I did everything to obey him.

I slowly stood up feeling dizziness come over me, threatening to put me back on the ground. Thankfully I didn't fall over.

I bent my knees and jumped out of the back of the van. Then waited for him to grab his stuff out of the back that was in a black duffle-bag.

After shutting the van door he grabbed under my arm and guided me up a gravel road that looked like it lead to a run down house.

I looked around trying to figure out where I was. There were gravel roads, trees, and one house. I didn't even know there were wooded area's in or around L.A. I wonder how far we were from the city.

Finally arriving at the front door, I wondered why we didn't park in the driveway when I saw a car that was under a tarp taking up the whole driveway.

Once we got in front of the house we walked up the stairs that creaked with every step. Looking at the front porch there was plywood missing all around that looked like they just rotted and caved in after someone stepped on them.

Before he unlocked the door he ripped the tape off of my mouth and I winced in pain. He continued to unlock all of the locks that were on he door then pushed my back for me to go in first.

I quickly found my footing after being pushed and turned around to watch him so he didn't try anything from behind me. He then dead-bolted the three locks that were on the door.

The unfamiliar man took his shoes off behind the front door. Something told me that it must've been a habit because he obviously didn't mind messes much by the looks of the inside of the house.

After taking his shoes off he pulled his mask off and hung it on the doorknob then turned around to face me. I felt shock rush through my body and I slowly stepped away from him when I saw his face.

"Dad?" I whispered.
