Deceived by love

Chapter 16

*Graces POV*

"Wow." Was all I could say after he pulled our lips apart, Rhett giggled.

"I told you you would fall in love with me." He said being overly confident. Resting his head back on the wall. I looked at him for what felt like way too long. His lips were perfectly plump and recently swollen, his blue eyes lit up the whole room, and his dark longer brown hair perfectly framed his face.

"I wouldn't say that, but it was definitely a great first kiss." I said looking at my feet, clicking my toes together so he couldn't see the heat rising on my cheeks

"Hey look back at me, I love watching you blush." Rhett winked and grabbed my chin and turned my head making me look into his eyes.

"Sorry." I simply stated

"Don't be, there's gonna be plenty more kisses in our lifetime." He said wrapping his arm around my shoulders then planting a kiss on the top of my head.

"I love the sound of that." I said interlocking my fingers within his. We both sat there in silence taking in what just happened before we heard rushing down the stairs.

"We have to go!" Rob came bolting around the corner and untying us both.

"What do you mean we have to go?" I was now running up the stairs behind Rhett who kept looking back to make sure I was okay. Rob was following closely behind me trying to rush us even faster.

"My drug guy found out I haven't been paying him and he's on his way." He stated pushing us out the front door then continued "no more questions and run to the van, don't be trying to escape."

With that Rhett and I ran towards the van, adrenaline rushing through my veins. As I was running I quickly looked behind me to see Rob trying to run as well but it wasn't going smoothly for him. My breath was now becoming more rigid by the time we reached the van.

Rhett opened the back door to the van and stepping in, "Come on Grace, I'll help you up!" Rhett reached his hand out to me and I grabbed it and he quickly dragged me in and slammed the door behind us.

"Isn't he going to want to tie us up?" I asked Rhett and he placed a finger over his lips telling me to keep quiet and we listened as Rob climbed into the front seat quickly taking off, which sent Rhett and I flying to the front.

"You're so smart! I could kiss you right now!" I engulfed Rhett into a tight hug loving the new freedom I had for both of my arms.

"Well why don't you? I bet we have time." He grabbed under my chin tilting my head back and leaning closer to me, our lips centimeters apart once again. "Tell me if you want me to stop." He whispered looking up in my eyes then back down to my lips.

I closed the gap between us and wrapped my fingers through his long hair, deepening the kiss. The long anticipated wait was now over.

My eyes were still shut taking in every once of this feeling, never wanting it to be over. Our lips were moving in such perfect sync, it wasn't like any other kiss I've had before. This one stole my breath away, gave me shivers from my head; all the way down my spine then stopping at my feet, and made my toes curl, wanting even more.

Before I could even get used to this feeling Rhett pulled away "Grace, you are beautiful. I want to go farther, more than anything in this world, but I don't want our first time to be in the back of a van"

Not knowing what to say I reconnected our lips. I felt him smile and relax into the kiss and gently resting his hand on the back of my neck. This time, I pulled away from the kiss.

"Trust me, I don't want to have sex in the back of the van that my dad is driving either." I chuckled.

Rhett returned the laugh grinning ear to ear and smiled before leaving one last peck on my lips.

After a couple of minutes sitting in silence. I laid my head down on Rhetts lap and felt him run his fingers through my hair as I was falling into a deep sleep.

"Alright you two, time to get out." Rob was banging on the door that was separating us. I shot open my eyes, being unaware of where we were I looked at Rhett and he gave me a concerned look back, not being able to read my face of what I was thinking.

Rhett and I quickly moved away from each other and waited for Rob to come and open the door. Right on cue he opened the door and before I could even ask what was going on he answered the question.

"We are at my buddies house, staying here for a couple of days until I can come up with the money. He knows I kidnapped both of you, so don't think you will have a chance to run." he said pointing to me and I instantly jumped at his words.

"Even if he didn't know, reception doesn't work out here and he wouldn't be able to call the cops on me anyways." He finally said
