*Baileys POV*

Grace has been missing for a week and the police has not gotten anywhere. My mom and Grace's mom were now staying with me due to my fear of being alone. I couldn't go anywhere without feeling like I was being watched.

After I got out of the hospital I went and bought a new phone, and called my mom and told her everything that had happened the night before. Her and Grace's mom hopped on the next flight to here and consoled me in loosing my best-friend, when I should really be consoling Grace's mom.

Mom's have this way of always putting on a brave face but secretly dying on the inside, I wish I could have the same strength that they do.

"Ma'am?" I broke out of my gaze and looked up at the lady sitting in front of me and I nodded in her direction waiting for her to continue talking. "We restored everything that was on your old phone." She said handing my phone back to me. I felt a little more hope for the first time that I have this week.

I glanced over my shoulder and looked at my mom and Grace's mom and gave them a smile to show them that everything was working out the way that we had hoped. It was my mom's idea to come here to see if they were able to restore it so I could bring the picture to the police.

"We just need to see your ID and you are good to go." the lady behind the desk said to me and I handed her my ID so she could take a copy of it and I was on my way.

After turning away from the counter I quickly unlocked my phone and went straight to the pictures not moving and feeling the heat radiating off of me from my moms glare.

"It's here! The picture, it is right here!" I yelled jumping up and down then zooming in on his face. Both moms came running towards me and quickly looked over my shoulder.

I zoomed in so they could see, "Oh shit!" Graces mom named Liz yelled, making me jump from the tone of her voice.

"What? This is a great thing!" I said turning to both of them and they both looked at each other and guided me out of the phone repair store.

"We will talk once we get outside." Liz said

All three of us walked out the door yelling 'thank you' one last time to the girl who was able to restore my phone. Once we were outside we sat on the bench with me in between both moms.

"So Bailey, this is a pretty big family secret that I planned on taking to the grave." Liz put her hand over mine and squeezed it before continuing "The guy that took Grace, is also her father." I felt vomit come up into my throat as she was speaking, I put my hands over my mouth and listened to her in disbelief.

Liz let out a sigh before continuing "He is the only father that she has ever known, but technically he wasn't her real father. I cheated on Rob before Grace was even thought about. After a missed period, Rob was so excited to be a father and I broke down into tears not knowing if it was his or not." Liz started to get tears in her eyes and my mom's head was on her shoulder hoping to give her the strength to finish the story.

Liz wiped the tears off of her face "When Grace was nine I told him that Grace could possibly not be his because I had cheated on him. At first he was devastated but he loved her like his own and he told me that would never change and it was a slim chance to be the other guys. A year after that I walked in on him cheating on me with one of his co-workers and I lost my shit on him. He threw in my face a paternity test that he had done behind my back and slammed the door and continued to cheat on me. I sat outside of the door crying asking god for forgiveness, but after a couple of weeks of trying to work things out between us, he told me that the girl he cheated on me with was pregnant and he was leaving me to be with his real kid."

My mom and I sat there in disbelief after what she just told us but she wasn't done "I have hated myself for it all of these years but I have learned from it. I told myself I would never tell Grace because that was even more stress that she didn't need."

"You were just trying to protect Grace all of these years, and you are not a bad mom for that." My mom said to her rubbing her back, "You need to protect her even more and take this photo to the police and Bailey and I will help you through every step."

My mom and I engulfed her in a hug and I broke the silence and said "Let's head to the police station."

I was the first one to stand up and they slowly followed suit while their arms were wrapped around each other, their friendship reminded me a lot of Grace and I's friendship which gave me hope that the police would listen to us this time.
