*Flashback, Rhett's POV*

"Hello?" I cautiously answered my phone that showed 'potential spam' on my screen.

"Is this Rhett Coleman, from ending tuesdays?" A very energetic woman responded to me, I thought about hanging up because it seemed to be another  telemarketer

"um, yes" I simply replied

"Hi, this is Melissa Smith from the make a wish foundation, do you have a minute to talk?"  Melissa asked and I quickly sat up and pushed my hair out of my face because I have always wanted to work with the Make a Wish foundation and put a smile on kids faces.

"Yes, of course I do!" I exclaimed at her over the phone.

"We have a patient who is in critical care from a double kidney failure and a transplant and her body is rejecting her new kidney. We were wondering if you could take some time out of your day here in a couple days to come and visit her. Her wish was to meet you."

My heart sunk after hearing her story but also felt honored that I was her wish. "Yes, what hospital?"

"Children's hospital Los Angeles." She repeated and before she could say anything else I said "I can be there in a couple of hours!" Standing up in my living room I began to pace in front of the couch as I waited for her response.

"That would be great! I will let the family know you are going to be on your way, do you want the daughter to be surprised?" I stopped in my steps, how is that even a question I thought to myself "Of course! Let them know I will leave as soon as I can."

"Thank you so much, have a great day!" she responded then hung up the phone. I quickly went into my room and quickly changed into black denim jeans with a light purple button up. I grabbed some of the merchandise from my tour that I had laying around my house, and a stuffed bear that a fan threw up on stage.

As I was backing out of my driveway I wondered if it would be too much to stop and get her flowers on the way. Deciding that it would probably brighten her day even more I would stop and pick them up.

As I parked in the parking garage of the hospital I looked in my passenger seat and wondered how I was going to carry everything from here to the inside of the hospital. Deciding I was going to put my best effort into it. I grabbed all the merchandise, flowers, and the balloons I couldn't pass up and headed into the hospital.

I was very grateful that Melissa sent me what elevator to take and her room number so I at least knew where to go while carrying everything. I rushed to the front desk to ask them where the elevator I needed to take was and they directed me down a couple of halls and told me to tell the receptionists on the floor I was going to, who I was visiting.

Once I reached the floor I did just that and the nurse smiled at me as she walked out from behind the desk and said "It's really a great thing what you are doing and how fast you were able to get here, not many famous people would do this on such short notice."

I simply smiled and followed her to the girls hospital room. She signaled for me to stay behind the wall where she was unable to see me yet "Daisy, someone is here to meet you!" she said to the little girl as she walked into the room.

"Who is it!" I could hear the excitement in her voice "Did I have to get dressed today because I was getting a visitor!" She exclaimed The nurse laughed and said "Yes, I told you it was important! Mystery guess you can come in now!"

I took a deep breath and wondered why I was so nervous to be doing this. I stepped around the corner and saw the biggest smile come across this child's face and the father signaled for me to take his seat and he stood around on the other side of the bed.

"Hi, I'm Rhett." I simply said, can I get anymore awkward?

"I know!!!" She screamed "I am Daisy!" She stretched her arms out and I put all of my gifts next to her dad on the couch and I wrapped my arms tightly around her "It is so nice to meet you Daisy! I have some gifts for you." She excitedly wiggled in her bed and her blonde bouncy curls bobbed with every wiggle.

After visiting with Daisy for a while they had to take her to get some tests and I decided to stay back with her father. "Yea, my wife and I noticed something was wrong when her legs and feet were swelling, she was easily out of breath, and was vomiting almost daily for a couple of weeks before we brought her in."

I could see the tears forming in his eyes as he was talking, "We should've brought her in sooner, I should've known it wasn't just a weird flu. We wouldn't be loosing our daughter if we would've brought her in sooner." I lightly put my hand on his shoulder and gently rubbed circles on his back. Between a couple tears he mustered out "Having you here really boosted her spirits, this is the most alive I have seen her in weeks."

Before I could say anything Daisy was getting pushed back in "You're still here!" She whispered to me. Her dad quickly wiped the tears from his eyes and said "I'll be back in a minute, I love you Daisy!" He said before leaving.

He quickly exited the room and started talking to the nurses about what I was assuming was her test results and Daisy looked very concerned at their expressions. "Do you want to FaceTime the whole band!?" I asked her and her face slightly lit back up and she nodded her head while she was still laying down. I decided to sit in her bed next to her and had her rest her head on my shoulder, those tests must've really worn her out.

I grabbed my phone out of my pocket and I dialed the drummer of our band and thankfully he quickly answered. "Are all of the boys with you?" I asked him and he held up a one minute finger and next thing I knew they were all in the frame and I showed Daisy and she gave them a weak smile and waved at them. "Boys, this is Daisy. Daisy these are the boys!" I said leaning down to look at Daisy.

She smiled up at me and opened her eyes at me for the first time she's gotten back, "You know my favorite color is purple?" she said and I watched as her eyes went to the back of her head and I started to panic.

"Nurse! Somebody please come help!" Right when I was saying this the machines started beeping. The nurses and doctors came rushing into her room and her dad was right behind them. "What the hell did you do!" He yelled at me getting in my face and I put my hands up to try and signal that I had nothing to do with this. "If she dies, you will pay for this!" He screamed getting even closer to my face and jabbing his pointer finger into my chest.
