The rest of the journey, the three of us got to know each other better. James and Sirius talked a lot about their ideas for fun, magic and of course quidditch. I didn't even feel ashamed to admit I wasn't paying attention when the sport was mentioned when asked something about it. Besides the dramatic 'you wound me, Kitty' from James, the two of them respected I wasn't as interested as they were.

At one point when the sky was darkening, an older girl wearing her uniform and a 'P' badge on her robes opened the door of our compartment.

"Kiddies, time to put on your robes" She said with a smile. "We're going to arrive to Hogsmade in half an hour. You really don't want to miss it"

After another smile, the girl left as soon as she came, leaving us alone. I picked up my uniform, telling them I'll dress in the bathroom. When I returned, trying to fix the black tie, James and Sirius had already dressed.

Sirius chuckled in amusement at the sight, watching me fail putting my tie correctly, even smacking my hands away from it.

"I'll help you" Sirius told me with a chuckle, quickly fixing my tie. Thank God he did as it no longer made me feel like I was choking with it.

"Thanks" I murmured, brushing the robes to get rid of any wrinkle on them.

When we arrived, it was already dark. The three of us were huddled as we walked alongside the rest of the first years hearing a loud, gruffy but somewhat friendly voice telling us to go to him.

My arms were linked with James and Sirius as they kept me in the middle of them.

I jumped up and down to try and see where we were going above all the heads in front of me as the older students headed to another direction.

"Woah" James pulled my arm back, "You're gonna get lost within the crowd. Easy"

"I can't see where we are going" I whined.

"There" Sirius pointed with his free hand. "We're going to the boats"

"No more'n five to a boat, righ'." the voice of the man guiding us turned out to be coming from a giant.

When we came across him, we had to crane our necks backwards just to see his face, gaping in awe. Sirius flickered my chin to make me close my mouth.

"You didn't tell me giants were real too?" I whispered furiously to James and Sirius who looked unfazed, both having known about the groundskeeper.

"There's a lot we didn't tell you" Sirius grinned, patting my head as if I was a dog.

I scowled at him, trying to escape from their grip and go to a boat to myself and with other strangers but they simply chuckled, dragging me toward one the three of us could sit together. It was already occupied by a tall, light brown haired guy helping a nervous, small guy get inside the boat.

"You have space for three more?" James asked, but didn't wait for a response as he got into the boat, helping the tall guy with the nervous guy get inside the boat.

"Two" I murmured, struggling lightly against now Sirius' grasp, mostly playful than trying to pull away from his grip.

"It's five for each boat" the tall guy replied once the other guy was in the boat, taking the far away seat from him "We're definitely full as you can see. Me, Peter and the three invisible first years. You should find another boat"

"We don't like sarcasm" Sirius replied as he got inside the boat, carefully helping me get inside. I sat down next to the boy with Sirius in front of the tall boy with James taking the seat next to him "Maybe try a bit more kindness, next time"
