I wandered till I heard and saw people calling out names, laughing, smiling, and eating distinct meals. I'm not sure why, but it feels nice coming here. It isn't silent, but it appears to be calmer than the previous time I was here.
"Excuse me Miss, do you need something? Is there something wrong?"
I was startled. A man had started speaking to me while I had my attention elsewhere, when I looked at him directly, I was drawn to his eyes. His eyes were olive green - a green that reminded me of mystical forests like the ones I read in books. He had curly ash brown hair. Despite being tall, his aura still made him seem really nice.
"Uh oh, sorry I just spaced out." I looked at a family nearby, "The townspeople seem really lovely. They're really enjoying their time here." I replied.
"Oh? You must be new then. Did you come here to visit your family?" He asked.
"Oh, I'm not new; I live here," I looked at him and continued, "But I don't visit frequently. This place has changed a lot over the years." There was a brief silence, as if to ponder, then he laughed, "I guess it did. You live here huh? I don't think I've seen you at all." He laughed.
"Yeah, no, I umm stay in my room and read books all day long. Weird, right?" Unexpectedly,
he laughs, "No, not at all. I mean everyone has their own way of enjoying their time. Reading must be yours."
"I don't know, my mother thinks otherwise and umm maybe? Since I'm talking to a stranger," I laughed. "Oh right! My apologies Miss, I'm Lucius. Lucius Wynn." Lucius offers his left hand as I offered mine, "Sylvie Huxley."
