I heard a knock on the main door, so I went to open the door and by surprise it was Audelia and Lucius. I let them come in and introduced them to Mother. Mother made snacks and we had a little conversation.
"Mdm. Huxley, could we take Sylvie out?" They asked.
I was confused. I looked at them, giving the 'what do you mean going out?' look. Mother looked at them and said, "I'm happy to hear, she's making friends, especially Lucius. She's always just been in her room fantasising things. I'm happy to accept your permission. Although I do have a condition, you should take good care of her. "
They were so happy and I was too. I never once thought they would ask Mother to take me out and go somewhere far from home. I packed some of my stuff and kissed Mother goodbye.
We arrived at Audelia's house and it looked so magnificent. She introduced us to her parents, Mdm. Adler and Sir Adler, who were very nice. She then showed us a room that we would be sleeping in, since, after all, it's a slumber party.
We had so much fun playing games, talking about our future and eating food. Suddenly, Audelia fell asleep first. I gave her a blanket so that she could feel a little more cozy.
"You're really nice, Sylvie. You look out for the people close to you," said Lucius. "You think so?" I replied.
"Yeah... When Mdm. Huxley mentioned making friends, what was that about? Have you not had any friends since you were a kid?" He asked.
