AFTER A WEEK, MEGHAN was discharged. Despite of Anica's nagging, that they should rest first before they will continue their investigation but they won't listen.
At dahil sa insidenting nangyari noong nakaraan, wala silang ibang choice kundi maghanap ng bagong pwesto. Sa ngayon ay nasa bahay ni Meghan silang lahat.
“Guys!”
“Dad found out the identity of those attackers!” masayang balita ni Meghan at agad namang napaals sa kinauupuan ang tatlo, Anica, Jayla and Jairus. She placed three folders in the table and the three immediately run towards the table. Isa-isa silang kumuha at binasa ang nasa loob nito.
“They are all former drivers of Governors Henri Valenzuela.” Meghan said and Anica looked at her with a bright smile.
“We could use this against them.” Jayla hissed and puts the folder down. “If they won't talk, then, we will make them.”
“Ang laking tulong nito, Meg! Salamat!” saad ni Jairus at tinapik ang balikat nito.
“Wala 'yun! Para sating lahat naman iyan.”
“By the way, saan si N?” tanong ni Meghan at palingon-lingon sa paligid.
“Umalis, may lakad daw sila ng ama nya.” sagot naman ni Jairus.
“It's been almost two decades pero hindi nya parin pinapakilala sa atin ang pamilya n'ya. Ni-pangalan ng mga 'to ay hindi nya binabanggit.” Jayla hissed and they all fell silent.
“Oo nga 'no? Kahit sakin ay hindi n'ya pa sinasabi.” sambit naman ni Anica.
“Meghan?” sambit ni Jayla.
“H-Ha?” nabiglang tanong ni Meghan at napatingin sa kanila, halatang gulat ito.
“Have you tried to look on his profile?” Jayla asked and everyone looked at her.
“Bakit?” kunot-noong tanong naman ni Meghan.
“Just?” patanong na sagot nito at bumuntong hininga. “Okay, to be honest, I'm curious about it. Kahit minsan wala tayong tinatago sa isa't isa noon pa man, 'diba? We promised each other not to keep thing on ourselves. But... He's breaking our friendship's promise.”
Anica sighed and looks like she's opposed on looking at Narxixius' profile. Yes, they're friends but they still have their own personal lives. She admit it that she'd also curious about Narxixius' family. Though, they shouldn't sneak.
“I— I haven't looked at his profile. Ayaw kong gawin iyon dahil kaibigan natin siya. It's disrespectful to find out something that someone doesn't want us to know especially when it's our friend.” Meghan hissed and Jayla nodded.
“I'm just curious. Pero bahala na!” sambit naman nito.
“Girls, kalma lang! Let's trust N, okay? Sasabihin n'ya rin pagdating ng araw. Baka ayaw n'ya lang sabihin kasi hindi pa s'ya handa. You know how much he hates his family.”
“Buti pa, mag-inom nalang tayo! Sagot ko samgyeopsal at inomin.” dagdag pa nito na agad namang sinang-ayunan ng tatlong babae.
“Tara na!”
EATING EVERYTHING IN THEIR PLATES and drowning their selves in alcohol, that's what the threw women do. Jairus kept it cool so that there would be someone who can take care of these drunkards.
“Halo na! Halo na!” sigaw ni Jayla at Anica habang malakas na hinahampas ang mesa dahil sa aliw. Si Meghan naman itong malokong hinahalo ang isang bote ng sprite, mga yakult at soju na may pasayaw-sayaw pa.
Jairus can't help his laugh looking at Meghan who looks very drunk and happy while mixing the drinks.
“Stop tawa-tawa r'yan, Jai! You look drunk, alam mo ba ha?” masungit na sambit naman ni Meghan habang tinuturo si Jairus gamit ang bote ng soju.
“Ahh mukha akong lasing? Ako yung lasing?” malokong tanong ni Jairus habang pinipigilan ang tawa.
“Yes! Yes!” sagot naman ni Jayla habang tumatango na parang bata.
“Oo na, sige shot na!” saad ni Jairus at agad naman n'yang nilagyan ng alak ang mga baso ng mga kaibigan. Agad naman nilang tinunga ito.
“Alam mo, Jayla? Mag boyfriend ka na! So, you won't be a matandang dalaga, okay?” bilin ng lasing na Meghan.
“Tumahimik ka nga! Ang conyo mo paglasing, tsk.” nakuha pang magsungit ni Jayla kahit lasing na ito. Sa inis ay inirapan n'ya ang kaibigan at agad na tinunga ang alak.
“May boyfriend ako 'no?!” mayabang na saad naman ni Jayla at nanlaki ang mata ng kapatid nitong si Jairus.
“Ano? Meron kang boyfriend? Pinagloloko mo ba ako, Jayla?” sigaw ni Jairus na nakakunot ang noo.
Jayla smiled goofily and looked at her twin, “Oo, meron. Nasa panaginip ko. Nasa libro!” Jayla said while chuckling.
“Baliw!” bulong ni Jairus.
“'Di ko s'ya boyfriend pero miss ko na s'ya.” Anica hissed while pouting, looking at her empty glass. Everyone looked at her and she started to whimper.
“I— I miss him so much!” she cried.
“I miss t-the way he cares for me. The way he smiles at me. I miss how he carries me on his arms everytime I'm drunk and I can't handle myself. I miss his presence.”
Anica cried out loud and everyone looked at her with confusion and concerns in their eyes. Jairus who is sober is the one who looks so worried about Anica.
“I miss him so much and I don't know if I can handle this. I miss him! Selfishly, I want him to suddenly come here right in front of me so, I could say sorry about what I said that night.” She cried even more when she realize how bad her words are when she was arguing with him that night. All he did was to be transparent and soft to her despite how rough she was towards him.
“I didn't even say sorry..” Anica covered her face with her hands and cried out loud.
“Oo hinangad kong makilala kung sino talaga ako pero ang sakit. Akala ko magiging okay ako pero I lost my control and hurt Dolion.”
“I was just hurt to know everything about my past that's why I said that harsh words to him. I hate that I found out about my parents, my father. About the real me. I hate that I found out who I truly am!”
Jairus' jaw dropped and the other two was able to seat still in their chairs looking so dumbfounded about what Anica said.
“Y-You met your father?” Jayla asked and Anica nodded.
“That's nice!” Meghan clapped and Anica bitterly chuckled whild looking at her.
“Is it?” she asked and wiped of her tears. “I don't know, all I want is Dolion to come here.”
I want him to come and carry me on his arms just like he do before.
