'what have you secretly always wanted to be for halloween'
ok soo i think i was in like 4th grade. i wasn't the ✨skinniest✨ stick out there, soo finding a girls costume for me was a tad bit more of a struggle than for most girls.
i actually really wanted to be alive from 'alice in wonderland' because it was super popular at the time and i thought she was so cute. so i asked my mom if i could be her, and my mom ended up looking on the party city website (if ykyk) and she was like "hmmm nahhh it's a bit ~expensive~ (we all knew what she meant tho 🤡).
i was a bit sad, not having a costume until like a week before halloween. my parents saw my sadness, and took pity on me. we ended up going to kmart (when that was still a thing omg) and they were ofc selling halloween costumes. my parents said that i could pick out anyone i wanted. soo i went with the second best thing to alice, which was a knock-off, special kmart edition, mad hatter costume 🎩
soo maybe one day i'll be skivinny enough to fit into an alice in wonderland costume, but i think i'll stick to aspiring to do anime cosplays for now.
