It's been a couple hours since I left the house with Jeongguk and we've been walking around one of the malls he found a while ago while he was out with Jin.
"So, what are we here for?" I ask as I look around, trying to see if I could spot zombies or people maybe. "I'm not really sure actually. I just wanted to know what the inside looked like." He says before we go back to the silence that consumed us just minutes ago "you've been super quiet these past couple days and that's not like you. Is everything okay?" I ask and he stalls before shrugging "I've just been thinking about things." He says "like what?" I ask and he lets out a breathy laugh "You ask too many questions" he says "I'm just curious" I say and look around "Soo."
"this whole thing we have here. How long do we expect it to last? We're gonna run out of food and gas eventually. And there are more zombies than there are people. I'm just.. I'm not ready to lose you guys." He says and my heart drops "And there's nothing we can do if one of us gets bitten. I love you guys too much and I can't lose you. And I don't want to." He continues and I grab his arm to stop him from walking any further
"Jeongguk listen. This whole thing is scary and it's risky. But that's why we're smart about things. And we're not gonna be around forever, as much as I wish it were like that. It's not. And it's fucking sucks. I love you guys too. And I'm never gonna be ready to lose any of you. We've built too much together. And I know it's hard not to think about it but it's just gonna make you sad. So just try to focus on the now. Okay?" I say and he hugs me tightly
"we should go home though." I say and pat his back "Just one more minute" He mumbles and I chuckle "fine."
*Jins pov*
"FAMILY MEETING!" I yell and sit down on the couch as I wait for everyone to pile in "What? I was trying to teach Jimin how to be a man" hobi says, earning a slap on the back of his head from Jimin "Just sit down." I say and one by one everyone sits down "we're missing two." Namjoon says "I know. They're out on a drive or something. Anyways" I say and grab the walkie talkie "You guys know how I've been trying to tune this thing?" I ask
"you don't tune a walkie talk-" Jimin says but I cut him off "shut it." I say and Taehyung sighs "let's get to the point please" he says and I roll my eyes "Calm down. I'm sure you and bella can wait to have sex." I say and bella looks around awkwardly "anyways. I was turning the nob thing and listen" I say and turn the walkie talkie on "Hello to anyone who is listening to this. My name is baekhyun and Im calling out to anyone who is in need of help. There is a safe camp in new york city, it's open to anyone and it has very high security. The area is zombie free and they have enough food and water and supplies to last a very long time." The voice speaks out, filling the room, as everyone is too deep in thought to say anything
I turn the walkie talkie off and look around the room "Well." I say "What? Jin we don't even know how old that is. It could be recorded. It's too risky" Namjoon says "I have to agree with him on this. We have a good thing going here and I don't wanna risk it just to go there and find out the place is infested with zombies." Yoongi says "Guys. We're not gonna last long here and if you haven't noticed already, we don't have very many options. What if we miss out on a perfect opportunity to be somewhere safe?" I ask "We're safe here Jin! Plus, we don't have enough gas for that! Let's face it. We're stuck. This world has gone to shit and we're stuck in the middle." Namjoon says and we all stay silent for a minute "well" yoongi says, breaking the silence "might as well enjoy the time we have left then, right?"
"How about we not think so negatively?" Hobi says "it's kind of hard not to. I mean, we're living in the middle of a zombie apocalypse" kora says and yoongi puts his arm around her shoulders "I know that, but you guys are so worried about what we're gonna lose, that you're not even taking a minute to look around and realize what you already have. We're so lucky to have eachother. There are people out there who have no one. Nobody to hold, no one to say 'I love you' to. They have nothing. We have everything. And you guys are over here treating it like it's not enough." He says and looks at Jimin
"Jimin, I love you to death but you need to grow a pair and tell her how you feel. Namjoon, stop being so uptight, let loose and have fun, let your freak flag fly. Taehyung and bella, love one another forever, drive eachother crazy but remember that you're so lucky to have eachother. Kora and yoongi, you too, appreciate eachother. And Jin. We love you so much, and I know you wanna protect us and make sure that we're all safe, and we appreciate it, more than you know. But it's not your job to protect everyone, start taking time to focus on yourself and relax a bit."
"I love you guys, now come here" he says and we all get in a group hug
Elena and Jeongguk walk in and we all turn our heads "Get in here" I say and they look at us confused before walking over and hugging us "you guys are my family. And you always will be. No matter what" I say and smile "we love you too Jin." Bella says
