CAROLINE let out a huff as she sat herself down in the cluttered cafeteria, ignoring the stares that were focused on her from students. she slightly frowned, trying to avoid any human interaction she could. every time she had been called out in the hallway, even if it were her own friends, or brother, she'd immediately run away. she was embarrassed about what happened at the election. andie may have won, but it still haunted her over what abby said.

her words traced over mind every night, as she laid asleep. 'she's a drunk', abby's voice beamed through her mind, 'she slept her way to be with griffin'. that was all she could think of. words from strangers never seemed to bother caroline, only abby's. abby knew how to pick every flaw out of caroline, and tell it to the world. she couldn't hide them anymore, she had to just try and runaway from the problem at hand, instead of facing the embarrassment.

"hey, care bear." a voice broke her out of her thoughts, she slowly looked up, seeing a pacey witter towering over her. she sent him a faint smile, before turning her lips back into a frown. pacey noticed this, slightly frowning to himself as he saw her state. he quickly sat himself down next to her, slowly rubbing the top of her hand with his thumb. "caroline, what's wrong? if it's about the election, abby was nothing but wrong. griffin loves you, and you're not a drunk. you're perfect just the way you are, and don't need her input plastered in your brain. they're meaningless words."

pacey comforted, sending her the warmest smile she probably had ever received from the boy. her eyes slightly watered, looking into the boys emerald eyes. she only nodded, before pacey quickly leaned in, wiping the tears that dropped. silence slowly took over the two, before pacey thought of a bright idea, smiling to himself. "hey, how about we go out tonight? or, just hang out. i'll buy whatever. we could go to the movies, or watch something at your house." pacey shrugged, leaning on the table.

caroline slightly smiled, slowly nodding her head.. "yeah, i'd love that. we could go back to my house and order food, and then watch a movie." pacey let out a goofy laugh, nodding along with the girl. soon, the two were joined by a certain blonde. caroline's smile slightly dropped, but ignored her emotions, staring at the mcphee girl with a collected face.

caroline watched as the two interacted, missing her beloved boyfriend in the moment. he was busy filling out college applications, and football. he seemed to not have much time for caroline anymore, only she simply ignored. she blocked out the words the two spoke towards each other, before a certain conversation dragged her away from her thoughts.

"so, want to do something tonight, pace?" andie smiled at her boyfriend, playing with his brown locks. pacey slowly turned to caroline, before back to andie. "sorry, andie. i actually have plans with caroline tonight." he shrugged, fiddling with this own fingers. andie looked between the two, a small frown on her face. "well, mind if i tag along?" it was caroline's turn to frown. she never got to hang out with pacey alone anymore, especially with andie in the picture.
