"I want to leave" the words came out of caroline's mouth as a groan, closing her locker shut. she heard a laugh escape her friends mouth from beside her, causing her to turn her head to joey.

"so, are you going to talk to pacey about what he said last week?" the brunette furrowed her eyebrows as they walked to their class, moving around the crowded hallways of capeside high. "i don't know. it wasn't like it was anything important, just him practically confessing his love for his relationship to me, while mine is completely falling apart" caroline joked, shrugging her shoulders.

joey let out a huff, rolling her eyes. "come on, care. i think there is something he isn't telling you. i mean, why would he go to you first? not even clarifying if it was about andie, or not" joey let out a gasp, stopping in the middle of the hallway. "what if he is cheating on her?"

caroline gave her a look, shaking her head at her friends buzzard suggestion. "pacey wouldn't cheat on andie, joey. calm down" her words drifted off as she saw out of the corner of her eye, pacey twirling andie around in his arms.

joey noticed her friends sudden change in emotions, turning to see what she was looking at. joey let out a sigh, dragging her friend away before pacey could even catch the two.

"i miss lunch one time because of cheerleading, and jacks suddenly gay?" her voice went higher as she spoke to jen, out of breath from her workout. jen let out a giggle, shaking her head at her friend. "joey said it's just a rumour, which i'm sure it is. just some stupid kids spreading lies, that's what high school is all about, isn't it?"

caroline furrowed her eyebrows, slowly nodding her head. "i guess. i just hope he's doing ok" she put her hands up in her hair, pulling at the hair tie in her blonde locks. she let her hair fall down, shaking her head from the sweaty athlete hair she was suffering from.

"has anyone ever told you how good you look like a cheerleading outfit?" jen eyed her friend up and down, causing caroline to slightly blush, but brush it off as a joke. "yeah, my boyfriend, and all the other horny teenage boys in this school" jen let out a laugh at this, following caroline as she grabbed her bag, moving out of the football field.

"so, you have a date with that weird kid tonight, right?" caroline asked jen, who had a red tint creep onto her face from the mention of the boy. "yes, i'm actually kind of excited. but, speaking of that weird kid, i should probably get going" caroline only nodding, waving bye to her friend as she started her journey home.

caroline's eyes scanned through the poem, jacks poem, that was copied by the teenage boys of the high school. caroline thought it was disgusting some stupid, soon to be grown men, we're acting like five year olds. she couldn't help but pity jack, as this rumour was horrible. wether it was true or not, no one deserved this public humility, and have zero support from anyone.
