"SO you two still haven't made up?" joey raised an eyebrow, waiting for the blonde to answer the question as she leant against the counter.

caroline shook her head. it had been two and a half weeks since pacey or caroline spoke a word to each other, and the leery girl planned on not letting up so easily.

"caroline! it's been weeks. you guys can't stay mad at each other forever. i swear, every slight turn you two make, it turns into another fight"

caroline groaned in annoyance, knowing joey was right. "i know. we have never gotten into this many arguments. i don't know what to do anymore, jo. he keeps calling me, showing up at my door, waiting for me at my locker, he seriously won't leave me alone"

joey stifled a laugh, shaking her head at what she was hearing. "he's been bugging me too. care, you really should fix things with him. i've been having to help him with trigonometry and the play rehearsing. i don't know how much more i can take of that doofus"

"well, what am i supposed to say? at this point, i don't even want to fix things. clearly, i'm fine without him in my life. not everyone is destined to be friends forever" caroline frowned, thinking about the boy she was able to call her best friend since childhood, until now.

"don't say that, care. you two are pacey and caroline. he clearly loves you more than you think. he's been raving to me for days on days about how he's going to make it up to you. and, i mean it, that boy can go on and on about his caroline" joey snickered, playfully rolling her eyes.

caroline's mouth went agape at some of the words that came out of her mouth. she knitted her eyebrows together, turning to joey with confusion set on her face. "his?"

joey hadn't even noticed what she said could affect caroline this much. she let the words pour questions into her head, letting her mind pick up unneeded scenarios.

about to answer, the phone had begun to ring. joey let out a heavy sigh, beginning to walk over to the wall phone. "listen, care. he wants us to come to opening night. i told him i was trying to go saturday, but he wanted me to come friday. maybe this will be a good opportunity for you two to make up, right?"

caroline chewed on her bottom lip. 'was this a good idea?' she thought. she was nervous, and didn't know if it was necessarily the best idea to make up with the boy.

...

"caroline! just the gal i was looking for" the blonde haired girl turned to andie mcphee, who was slowly walking beside her down the empty halls of capeside high.

"really?"

"yes. now, listen. i need some serious help. i know you're really good at directing people, and being in charge. so, i need you to help me co-director the play!" andie grinned, putting her arms out to be extra.
