The darkness consumes me as I sit in the silence. My room is locked from the inside. I don't want any company. I don't know how long it has been since Leader gave me this mask. I can't find any boredom to grasp at. I am eternally patient. Although I can sense that time is passing by, I have lost track of how much. I can hear my heartbeat. Even the silence is completely still.

I want to sigh, but because I don't feel bored I can't. Emotions are strange, strange things. With a soft sigh, I stand and reach for the door, but I hesitate at the last second. What if Leader wants me to stay here? I shake my head, almost ready to laugh at myself. Leader doesn't limit our movements inside the base. He always knows where we are while we are inside it.

I open the door and walk out in that ghostly way of mine. I find another apple, which seems to make up the largest part of my diet, and grab another bottle of water. With a silent sigh, I turn around to ghost my way back to my room again. Halfway there, I'm stopped. I stand silently as the bluenette before me grunts from the impact of me almost running into her. I bow deeply. "My apologies. I should be more aware of where I'm going." I'm stiff as I get back up, however, because the fault is her's and not mine.

"Oh, it's alright." She says with a smile, amber eyes searching my red eyes for any sort of emotion. "You're Chishi, right? Our Tenshi?" I bow as my answer.

"Yes." I say quietly, my eyes glued to the floor.

"I'm sure you'll prove your worth." She says with another smile. She turns and walks away. I go back to my room and pace, my apple on my nightstand and my waterbottle forgotten beside it. I want to snarl to myself. I keep letting myself get used... I'm human as well!

Then again, I'm a shinobi. I'm a tool. I'm meant to be used. This is so confusing! I sigh and take my mask off to eat the apple before I replace it and throw the core away. I sip the water a bit before discarding it on my nightstand. My eternal patience seems to have been overridden for the moment. I sigh and pace more briskly, hoping to try and wear down my irritation and get on with my day. Unfortunately, that doesn't happen. My door opens, and Itachi pops his head in. I'm almost ready to glare at him.

"Leader wants you." He says. I nod my head, give one final glance about my room, and follow Itachi to Leader's office. I'm short-tempered, but I manage to bite back the irritation and agitation that wells up my throat. I'm back to my blank state after the short walk. I enter the office and stand stiffly by the door.

"You wanted me, Leader-sama?" I ask, my eyes closed momentarily before I open them slowly. He nods his head.

"There's a mission I want you and Itachi to complete." He says. I furrow my brown into a frown, but I don't voice my displeasure. He throws the scroll to me. "Your skills are needed for this Chishi, and I want Itachi to do the interrogation part of the mission. Is that understood?" Leader's purple eyes drill into me.

"Yes, Leader-sama." I say blandly, bowing slowly. I straighten myself out.

"Dismissed. You leave in an hour." I nod and exit, Itachi hot on my heels. I open the scroll. Inside it is a picture of a middle aged man with slightly graying hair and a deep scowl marring his face. If he'd been smiling, he would've been handsome. This man is to be assassinated. I sigh silently and give the scroll to Itachi.

"I'll meet you by the entrance in forty-five minutes." I say quietly, closing my door silently. I count my weapons, rest my chakra, and grab some light food and money. This mission is only to take two days, but I'm sure it may take longer if we're even the slightest bit delayed. I appear by the door silently, fifteen minutes before what I'd told Itachi.
