(AN: This is part 2 to "Alcohol", sorry it took so long!)
I walk to school with my hood on and baggy clothes, I'm trying to make myself as unrecognizable as I can, I know for sure the whole school knows about my alcoholic mother now and they're gonna try and tease me about it.
I discreetly walk to my locker grabbing my books and what not until I hear a voice, "y/n?" I stiffen up knowing that voice all to well, Rafe. I don't even bother looking at him and just ignore his presence. "Y/n come on I'm your best friend you can't be mad at me forever" I scoff at his words, used to be my best friend.
"Y/n I'm talking to you" he says more stern this time, Rafe doesn't like being ignored. "Y/n stop ignoring me!" I try to contain my laughs at his anger until he slams my locker closed. I flinch at the bang and look at my feet. "Leave me alone Rafe, I have nothing to say to you" and I go to walk to class until I get stopped by a hand aggressively grabbing my wrist.
I wince at how tight he's holding my wrist, his nails are digging into my skin. "Look I'm sorry I told her" I finally look at him and almost cry just looking at him, I see nothing but a traitor. His eyes are filled with regret and guilt but I don't care. "You promised" I whisper under my breath and I know Rafe heard it.
"I know ange-" I cut him off "don't" that's the nickname he's had for me since we were 10. "Y/n we've been best friends for years, don't do this" he says with glossy eyes. I soften at his words but regain my confidence, "Goodbye Rafe" I say sternly and walk away from him and head to class.
6 hours later
I'm walking home and see a beach empty, I decide to go and sit in the sand and try to have some peace and quiet for once. I sit on the sand and close my eyes. "Hey y/n" I groan in annoyance and open my eyes to see JJ Maybank, one of my old friends, we kinda drifted. "Hello JJ" I say in a bored tone.
He sits down next to me "what are you doing here all alone" he says with a bright smile. "Well I was trying to relax" I say coldly and I see JJ look down "oh sorry I'll go" he goes and gets up but now I feel bad and drag him back down. He stumbles and I chuckle and so does he, "it's fine you can stay"
JJ and I talk for hours and it's now nighttime. "Wow I didn't even realize how long we've been talking" JJ chuckles "We needed to catch up" I smile and nod. JJ points to a star and I look at it. "That one is gonna be our star, I like it." I smile at his words and blush.
JJ notices my blush and grabs my chin "you're beautiful" he says and leans in slowly. I also begin to lean in and we kiss. Butterflies are swarming in my stomach and I can feel my cheeks heating up. I pull away to breath and JJ caresses my cheek "I've been wanting to do that for a while" I smile "me too"
"Y/n?" I hear someone say behind us. JJ and I turn around to see Rafe with tears in his eyes. "Rafe!?" I say and stand up. "W-why would you kiss him?!" I furrow my eyebrows "why do you care!?" Rafe looks down and mutters something that I can't hear. "What was that!?" I yell.
"Because I love you!" He yells back at me and I widen my eyes, I've been in love with Rafe since I was 15, and now he wants to tell me!? I get annoyed and grab JJ's hand wanting him to feel the pain I felt "Oh well whatever" I say bitterly and walk away hand in hand with JJ.
Now he can feel the pain I felt.
