Season 3, Episode 6
Smells Like Teen Spirit

Estella had come back from her "trip" with Klaus.

She had gotten bored in less than a day. Once she had gotten back, she immediately tried to figure out what she was going to wear to school. She may have not liked it, but if she was going to go she was going to dress to impress. She had picked out a dark red crop top with black jeans and a leather jacket. She paired the outfit with a gold chain necklace and a pair of heeled dark red boots.

The next day she quickly showered and changed before speeding out the door and driving to the high school. She had found Caroline, Elena, and Bonnie talking with each other and she immediately sped toward them.

"Caroline!" She called as she had finally caught up to them. Along with Caroline, Bonnie and Elena turned around to see who had called her name. Caroline smiled while the other two looked at each other with a frown.

"Hey, Stella!" Caroline smiled as she walked up to her and hugged her. "Finally, you're back! You took so long." Caroline exaggerated as she pulled Estella to walk right next to her, making Elena move out of the way. Elena's face turned into a glare as she looked at Caroline incredulously. The blonde didn't seem to notice.

"I was only out of town a few days, Caroline." Estella smiled at the blonde.

"It felt like months." She exaggerated once more. Estella laughed lightly before pulling herself away a bit so she could walk by herself. For a few minutes, an awkward silence had taken over as everyone squirmed at the uncomfortableness.

"This is awkward." Caroline finally broke the silence. Estella looked at her with a weird look before looking forward at the high school again. Caroline nudged Estella before nudging her head towards Bonnie and Elena, who were standing close together.

Estella shook her head in defiance, mouthing 'no' to Caroline. Of course, Caroline didn't back down and she stared at Estella with a glare. Estella groaned lightly so the two others wouldn't hear, glaring at Caroline once before turning to the two other girls standing beside them.

"So..." Estella trailed off. She gave Caroline a questioning look and Caroline motioned for her to continue.

"You're all seniors now? How does that feel?" Estella looked to Caroline in confirmation, wanting to seek Caroline's approval. Caroline nodded her head enthusiastically, giving two thumbs up. She smiled before turning back to Bonnie and Elena awkwardly.

"Great. I mean, why should I let the fact that my boyfriend is seeing the ghost of his ex-girlfriends hinder this experience?" Bonnie gave Estella a short, small smile before looking at Caroline to say something.

Estella cleared her throat, not knowing how to respond. Now that she was 1000 years old, she didn't have any drama to share. Her teenage years were long gone, and even then the only drama she had was being turned into a vampire by her mother, and she couldn't tell anyone that.

"Yes! And why should I let the fact that my boyfriend was turned into a hybrid, put a damper on an otherwise fabulous day?" Caroline smiled. Estella frowned at that, knowing it was her fault that Tyler became a hybrid.

Caroline looked over at Estella with a grin before seeing her frown and realizing she had taken a jab at her friend.

"Which, by the way, was Klaus' fault and only his." Caroline gripped Estella's hand and smiled at her. Estella looked back with a grin before looking back and seeing Elena stop walking.
