"Chan!" Chan had frankly no idea where that voice was coming from, it seemed familiar but the pounding in his head caused him significant difficulty in pinpointing who it was.
He was laying extremely uncomfortably, his hands shivering and his head feeling like it had been kicked 20 times. However, he was unable to move even a little bit because of pure pain.
"Hey, kid! Wake up" he felt someone stroking his cheek and gently hitting it. But regardless, he just couldn't bring himself to open his eyes. The pain was unbearable, and the person shaking him really wasn't helping.
He could feel tears freely fall from his eyes and drip onto the floor but he didn't seem to care to wipe them away, feeling as though his body was getting held down by weights. He couldn't even lift his hands.
"Chan, c'mon" it was a different voice, on the other side of him, and there was another pair of hands on his shoulders, now also gently shaking him.
"Fuck, that's a lot of blood" yet another voice spoke, they all seemed familiar but he just couldn't figure out who it was and it was getting incredibly frustrating. The shaking was starting to really aggravate his head and Chan felt himself involuntarily groan in pain.
"C'mon Chan, wake up" it was gentle, along with the light smacking against his cheek. Eventually, his body complied due to the persistent movement and he managed to peel his eyes open. Everything was blurred and he couldn't make out the three figures that were opposite him.
"Hey, there you are" someone spoke, Chan trying so hard to squint to figure out who it was, but even that hurt and he whimpered again.
They manoeuvred him into a sitting position as he continuously blinked to try to get his sight back to normal. It helped a little, but he still couldn't make out anything. His head hurt like a bitch and he lifted his hand to touch the back of his head.
However one of the mystery people caught it before he could and put it back down.
"Hey, It's Brian, Dowoon, and Wonpil. How are you feeling?" Ah, it was a few of his neighbours (how convenient), Chan was definitely happy to hear that he actually knew who had found him, and he could try and figure out exactly what had happened without sounding insane, because he presumed it was something to do with the ghosts.
"Like shit," he mumbled, "I can't see properly" he complained, groaning after a particularly painful flash of anguish shot through his head, and this time, he managed to bring his hand up to touch where it hurt, immediately flinching back and seeing his blurred hand now being drenched in red. He lifted his other one to see that it was already looking the same.
"You've hit your head okay? Can you remember what happened?" Chan gently shook his head, wincing a little. His sight was beginning to clear again and eventually it was only a little blurry and he could see the faces of the three neighbours.
"Do you think you can walk?" He shook his head again, catching sight of the concernedly large puddle of blood to his left. Brian moved his head by his chin.
"Don't look at it" he nodded snd winced again, even the littlest of movements hurt and he couldn't bear it, more tears freely falling from his eyes and probably mixing into the blood on the floor.
Wonpil pulled Chan's head forward so that he could place a hoodie on the wound and press down. He knew why he had to do it, but that didn't change the fact that it hurt like a bitch.
Chan cried out in pain and tried to scoot away, but it was no use. It was like he had zero control over his body because whatever he told it to do, it just...straight up wouldn't.
Chan quite literally couldn't move, so the three worked out a way to get Chan onto Brian's back. Once they somehow succeeded, with a lot of cries of pain and struggle, they began to walk home.
Brian bounced him a few times while Dowoon spoke so the boy wouldn't drift off.
"I need you to not fall asleep for me okay?" Chan weakly nodded, but couldn't help closing his eyes and beginning to drift. Until Brian bounced him again to wake him up.
"No" The man accentuated so Chan wouldn't think about falling asleep. Chan was gripping onto Brian's shoulder for dear life, he was afraid of falling, but he knew that wasn't possible with Brian's strong grip, and Wonpil holding the back of his head with the hoodie so he quite literally wouldn't bleed to death.
At some point, there were voices around him that he couldn't decipher and he only came back to his senses when he was sitting in the back of a car in between Wonpil and Dowoon. He looked forward to see Brian driving.
"Where are we going?" Chan croaked out.
"We're going to the hospital Chan, you need stitches?" Dowoon spoke like it was obvious, and it was then that Chan realized Wonpil was still holding the hoodie to his head.
Once they made it to the emergency building, they walked into a room after a five-minute wait and the first thing that happened was Chan being absolutely bombarded with questions from a nurse.
"What's your name?"
"Bang Chan"
"Age?"
"17"
"Can you tell me what happened?"
"I fell"
"Was there anyone else with you?"
"No"
It took about two hours for Chan to get checked and sorted, getting 7 stitches in his head and being told not to fall asleep until at least midday later on - considering it was about 6 am at this point.
Chan had asked someone to text his parents before remembering that they would've left for a trip around this time, probably not even realizing that Chan was gone. He instead opted to ask someone to text the group chat he has with his siblings to say they could leave for school without him and that he wasn't feeling very well.

Sorry this chapter is a bit shorter than the others, if I combined the next chapter it would've been too long so idk.
Also, no one's surprised that the title is from another song. This was is a Pierce The Veil song with the same name, ugh that's such a good song, highly recommend.
Thanks for reading :))
