It took Chan an admittedly long time to get to the art classroom that everyone had decided to meet at. Considering he'd only dropped art a year ago it really shouldn't have taken him as long as it did.

"Ah, there he is" he heard Jeongin exclaim before realizing that he was in fact, the last one there and embarrassingly took a seat on one of the tables, bringing his legs up to cross in a basket, not daring to dangle them in case something grabbed onto them.

Maybe Chan has become a little too paranoid.

Hyunjin had an easel out, with a canvas on the frame and a paintbrush in his mouth, there was another in his hands that he used to effortlessly drag across the white canvas, probably creating something beautiful.

Jisung was next to him, drawing on an A2 piece of card on the desk rather than an easel. He was standing up in an attempt to measure proportions and was rather successfully doing so by the looks of it.

They were both deep in concentration whilst the others chatted away in the middle of the room, some sat on desks whilst others chose the normal thing to do and sat in a chair.

"Let him be, he's probably going slow because of the paranoia" Chan sent Minho a glare, Minho who just returned a cheeky smile.

They sat around for a couple of hours, Hyunjin still going with his project whilst Jisung was taking a break. A break that had lasted nearly half an hour, despite him claiming it would only be ten minutes.

All of a sudden, the room was engulfed in a gloom along with the corridor outside the classroom and everyone stopped what they were doing.

"What was that?" Jisung immediately shot up, Hyunjin not that far off considering he didn't have light to make progress on his painting anymore.

"Um, the lights going off you idiot"

"Thanks, Minho, I meant why"

"Well it obviously wasn't one of us considering none of us got up"

"Oh my god, can you stop being sarcastic for two minutes? We're literally in the middle of a crisis right now" Seungmin scoffed.

"Yeah, I have absolutely zero lighting and I was actually wanting to make a good chunk of progress for my piece" Hyunjin pouted as if that was the most important concern at this current moment.

"I think he meant crisis as in the power has gone out" Changbin deadpanned.

"How about some of us go check out what's going on, it looks like all the outside power has been cut out as well as the inside" Jeongin spoke as he looked out the window, attempting to see a little bit of anything to figure out what was going on.

They waited five minutes in the gloom to make sure the power wasn't getting turned back on before Jeongin, Chan and Minho volunteered to go and check what was going on and to make sure there weren't any real issues.

"This is so creepy" Chan found himself looking in every direction despite the pitch black that was incredibly hard to see through.

"Yeah, maybe it was a bad idea to bring the guy that's constantly paranoid because he can see dead people" Chan sent another glare at Minho, but the boy couldn't even see Chan and just smirked in his general direction.

"Ha, ha, very funny" Chan rolled his eyes and they made their way to the front office, where there was no one to be found.

"Huh? Isn't this a study day, should there not be people working right now?" Chan and Minho nodded at Jeongin's comment, all confused as to why there wasn't any staff before realizing that during their whole journey to the office, they didn't see any staff at all, or any other students.

"Hmm" Minho walked over and pushed the main entrance doors open, only to find that they weren't, in fact, open.

"What?" He muttered to himself before turning to the other two, who were still investigating the school office, "um, guys?"

"What?"

"The doors are locked"

"What?!" The two ran over to find that Minho wasn't having them on, and the doors were actually locked.

They all looked at each other and made an agreement to go to the second entrance with no actual words.

Once they were there they found that those doors were shut too, resulting in the realization that they had been locked in the school.

"What the hell?"

"Where is everybody"

They quickly noticed that they - and the others in the classroom - were the only ones actually in the school, with no after school classes on despite that being on the schedule for the day.

Chan walked away to check another classroom, finding that every single one that they checked was empty.

"Yeah there's no one here either" he spoke to the other two, who were apparently no longer there which Chan quickly realized after gaining no reply from either boy.

"Guys?" Chan could already hear the shakiness in his voice at the fact that he was alone.

"Guys?" He repeated louder. He frantically looked in all directions, persuading himself that Minho and Jeongin would be there when in fact they had completely disappeared.

He started to move, wanting to find the others, and made his way through all the corridors.

He couldn't even hear anything, no footsteps to indicate his friends were around the corner and no electricity sparks to indicate that the power was coming back on.

Chan's heart was in his throat.

He kept walking until he found himself outside the gym hall, he could've sworn he was going in the direction of the art classroom but found himself here instead, the hall that definitely was not an art classroom. It was on the complete other side of the school, and he knows that it took him a while to get to the art classroom originally, but he didn't trail this far away the first time.

He did not like the big open space of the hall and ran into one of the changing rooms which was so quiet that the only thing he could hear was the running of the pool water from the room next door.

Chan could feel his heart beating a hundred miles an hour, but admittedly felt a bit safer when he was in a place with only one entrance, meaning he could keep an eye on it and not worry about anything else making its way inside.

But it got worse when he felt the familiar sensation of someone looking at him, and with one small breath, he decided to turn around.

Chan's entire sense of security came crumbling down.

He was in the same room as the Faceless Man.

Who was blocking the only escape route.

Chan's logic had certainly backfired on him.
