As the Jazz music flows threw our ears as we wait in line to be seated at the restaurant with dancing and dinner, I say, "Aren't you happy I told you 5:00 sharp," "Yes very, if you hadn't we wouldn't have sat down until 7." He chuckles.

Eventually, we are seated near the bar. The waitress comes over to get our orders, "Welcome to the dancing diner, what can I get for you to drink?" "I'll take a cherry cocktail please," I say. "And I'll get a martini!" Says Bucky. As we wait, I decide to pull out the gift I bought him that has been hiding in my pocket. "Here, Merry Christmas!" I slide the gift over to him across the table. I get up and sit next to him so I could put the gift on him. "Oh Maria you really didn't ha-" I cut him off. "No I have been waiting to give you this for when you came home. Open it!" He opens the small red box.

"Oh? Oh!" He has a big smile on his face. "Do you like it?" I ask. "I love it." He pulls out a shiny silver ring that has the date of when we met on it. "Wow, Maria how much was this." He asks. "Don't worry about the price. Just put it on!" I command. "Right hand, ring finger, so that your left hand is free for the lucky lady who you will marry." I say, He smiles at me.

As we made eye contact I could feel his hot breath on me, and his arms coming close to me for a hug. "Thank you Maria, I will cherish this until the day I die." Those words, until the day I die. I don't know why but made my stomach drop. I awkwardly laugh as we keep making eye contact while "Let Me Call You Sweetheart" played in the background.

I broke the eye contact, I got up and sat back in front of Bucky on the other side of the table. "Here is your martini sir, and your cherry cocktail will be done in a minute or so." She informs us. A couple minutes later my drink came out. After we ate and drank a little bit we heard one of our favorite songs start to play. A song made for little kids but got us in the Christmas mood. Rudolph the red nosed reindeer.

Me and Bucky both looked at each other with excitement as we got up and ran over to the dance floor. We both started dancing too the song while others came and started dancing with their children. Moments later a slower song, a song well known to Bucky, "It's Been A Long, Long time." He took my hand and brought me closer to him. I'm short. 5'4 to be exact I looked up at his beautiful florissant blue eyes. He felt like home.

A couple came close to us. "Aww you kids are so cute together," they said. "Oh we're not together..." we say at the same time. "Oh your not, well you two would make the cutest couple." Said the woman. I started to think for a second about what the woman just said. Me and Bucky both looked at each other and the woman walked away and winked at Bucky, mouthing "kiss her". He shakes his head no and laughs a little towards the woman. "What's so funny?" I ask. "Oh nothing,"

Bucky starts to come closer to me. "Hey you know how we said this isn't a date?" He asks. "Yeah why?" I ask. "Well I- you know never mind." We continue dancing. Our hands start to wrap around each other into more of a hug because we get cold. Soon enough we get back in the car and start heading home. We turn on the radio and try to hear it through the wind making the woman who was speaking sound muffled. "Hello New York! Merry Christmas! I hope that you have had a wonderful time with your friends family and colleagues! Let's spread this Christmas with love and good luck kisses, kiss the one you love. Hug your friends! And have a Merry Christmas!"

White Christmas starts playing as we drive through the white, cold, heavy, snow. We drive back to Bucky's home too finish up Bucky's packing.
