My eyes open once again to the shining lights above me.i get out of bed with flash's of last night playing over and over. We all meet in the centre for breakfast. Ali stares at me intensely. "can we talk" i mouth to Ali, he follows me to the corner of the room. "i'm sorry Ali, it was a long time ago.". He smiles at me widely like usual. "it's okay y/n it's not my business" he leans in and pecks me on the cheek for forgiveness. " i shouldn't be getting involved in your private life" i look him in the eyes with a smirk. "It was a long time ago, that old me will never come back i promise, we will make it out of here together"
The doors pull apart once again, soldiers march in line, it's our third game. Tug of war, we pick our group: 01, 456, 067, 218, 199, 240, and obviously me. We are going to lose.. we have an old man on our team we aren't going to survive. It's our time to tug and i have goosebumps, my arm hairs are raising but we won.
As we are walking out a tap on my shoulder wakes me up from my daydreaming "Y/n, y/n" Ali repeats "you were really good out there i see you got some arm strength" I look at him with my exhausted face. "They feel like they are about to drop off" we both laugh and head back.
Dinner comes, My chickens raw and my rice isn't even cooked. Sangwoo sits next to me he reachs to put his hand on my thigh. "no" i said with a straight face. He looks at me in disappointment and walks away with his food.
I feel guilty, i shouldn't be i said no but i feel really bad. But it made me uncomfortable. With all these thoughts in my head 20 minutes flies by "are you eating that?" Ali says with food in his mouth. "no you can have it i don't eat much anyway" i smile at him. "thank you Y/n your such a good friend to me" suddenly my heart sank, but why? because he took my food? no it was nasty. He didn't smile back maybe that's why? no he always smiles. He called me friend.
I'm led in bed with thoughts swarming round my head, why am i so heart by him calling me friend? i look to my right and Ali's staring at me, we make eye contact. Out of the blue i feel warmth connect to my body. I'm safe next to him after feeling what i feel i drift off into sleep.
