9 : 「Followed 」

Y/n felt the warm sunlight hit her face from the window, she slowly opens her beautiful e/c eyes.

"How did I get here", she asked herself, she rose up from her futon and stretched, "Who brought me here-", she suddenly realizes and covers her mouth with her hand, her face heating up until it is visibly red.

Last night...

Tomo just stared into y/n's sleeping face, unsure of what to do with her, but it was already getting late so he decided to take her home without Kazuha seeing them.

'I'll have to carry her with me..' Tomo blushed at the thought.

He takes his muffler off and wraps it around y/n's neck to keep her warm, it gets pretty cold at night in Inazuma knowing it always rains. He carries y/n on his back, he was surprised y/n didn't wake up, she definitely did a lot of hard work today.

It didn't take long for them to come down the Grand Narukami Shrine.

Tomo pants as he finally reaches the front of his home, he attempts to open the door but it was slid open again before him. It was y/n's father.

"Mmgh", Y/n snuggles into the crook of Tomo's neck to make herself comfortable but her milky beige-haired friend felt embarrassed knowing that he's carrying her in front of her father.

y/n's father furrows his eyebrows at the sight in front of him.

"What the hell did you do to my daughter?!", he semi shouted. "Huh? Mr. L/n I--", Tomo tries to speak up but couldn't due to y/n's father approaching them to have a good look at his daughter to see if she is alright or not.

"Mr. L/n, she's just sleeping, wait, don't you remember me?", Tomo tries to reassure her father that everything is alright.

"No, I don't even know you!" Mr. L/n groaned in frustration before looking at Tomo's face. "Bring her in," Mr. L/n says before heading back inside.

Tomo kneels and places y/n gently on her futon and tucks her in, Mr. L/n leans by the door frame and observes.

Tomo's tall figure stands up, "I should go now, I don't want to cause any more trouble with you, Mr. L/n" he tries to make his way out of y/n's room but was stopped, "I need to talk to you," Mr. L/n says before heading to the kitchen, Tomo follows.

"So, what are you to y/n? Are you her boyfriend?", Mr. L/n asks, Tomo's face heats up, and looks away, "No, sir. I'm just her friend, she went with me to the Grand Narukai Shrine", he answers.

"The Grand Narukami Shrine? It's hard to get to the top, how did you two manage to get there fast?" Mr. L/n asks again, "I--" before he spoke he received a sigh from Mr. L/n. "Take care of my daughter for me, I ask too many questions about her, thank you for making her happy", Mr. L/n smiles, "Tell me if you two are dating already, okay? ", he teased.

Tomo's face felt like it was about to blow from its redness, "I must go now, Mr. L/n, i- i- Thank you for your tonight and I'll make sure to take care of your daughter, as a friend of course", Tomo says before bidding his goodbye and exit the house.

'I still need to watch out for Kazuha and his plans to y/n', Tomo's smile faded away as he walks through the dark and empty streets of Inazuma City.

Present...

Y/n stood up and gets ready for the day. She exits her room, heading straight to the main door, but before she can reach out for the door, her father calls her. "Y/n? Where are you going? It's so early in the morning?", Mr. L/n asks. "Ah, father--! I need to-", "Need to find that tall young man who brought you home last night?", Mr. l/n interrupts.

"No...yeah", Y/n answers.

"To be honest, y/n, if my memory gets this right, he looks exactly like Tomo", Mr. L/n says as he sips his green tea. "That's because he is Tomo", Y/n walks in the kitchen to approach her father, "Didn't he die a year ago? He obviously can't be Tomo then, I miss that kid", Mr. L/n chuckled before handing y/n tea he made that she can carry outside.

"Have fun out there, your mother will be so happy to see her daughter independent already", Mr. L/n smiled before pushing y/n out of the house, "Wait wha-" Y/n looks at the front door to be closed.

"Your father really wants you to be like us huh", a voice came from behind, it was Kazuha's.

"Well going outside won't give me a vision-- also did you just get here?", Y/n crosses her arms, "No-- yes", Kazuha smiles, and so does y/n.

'I need to find Tomo and thank him for yesterday', y/n thought and looks at Kazuha's face, she notices the bandage placed on his cheek. 'Tomo was injured and Kazuha too, what happened?' Kazuha notices y/n looking at his bandaged bruise but shrugged it off.

"I was punched and got into a fight, but don't mind it", Kazuha looks at y/n.

"Are you alright now?", y/n asks, "Yes, I'm fine now", he replied.

"I see...I need to help Yoimiya with a lot of things today, you don't really have to go with me, shouldn't you be busy yourself as well?", Y/n stops walking. "If you don't want me to at least escort you there then I'll be off to my own job then", Kazuha ruffles y/n hair before leaving, "What's up with him today...", y/n sighs before going down the stairs to Naganohara Fireworks to help a busy friend.

Y/n felt like she was being watched, she felt like she was being followed, she slowly tried to walk faster, 'Tomo, where the hell are you!?', Y/n stressed. As soon as she reached Naganohara Fireworks to see Yoimiya creating new fireworks with her dad, well, at least y/n's safe with a friend.

Y/n looked behind her only to see the busy street.

"Woah y/n, glad to see you here again!", Yoimiya stood up from the stool before approaching y/n, "Y-yeah, I'm here to help you out again to make myself busy for the day"

Yoimiya smiled and offers y/n a seat, "Sure, sure, I have a lot of things to tell you today about fireworks".

I didn't put the details on how Tomo and Y/n even managed to get up/down the grand narukami shrine. There are NPCs there but it's not specified how they even got there without a vision.
