18 : 「The Fifth Kasen」

Tomo took a deep breath and asked again, "Y/n, who is that?"

Y/n froze as the man behind her wrapped his arms around her, unbeknown to who Tomo is to her, the man smiled and the girl before him was as still as a statue, "I was just talking to my beloved in private, do you mind?" the man irked.

"Tomo--" y/n was about to tell Tomo it was all a misunderstanding but her mouth was shut close by the sudden burst of electro within her causing her to stay still again.

He gripped his sword tighter, trying to control his feelings, wanting to just yank y/n out of that man's arms.  Tomo knew y/n was uncomfortable, her eyes say it all.

The man smirked and let y/n go, "What is your business with her, boy? What is she to you?" the man asked and kept his hat low. "It doesn't matter" Tomo replied, the man smirked, "I can have y/n then?" he teased, about to place his hands on y/n shoulder, Tomo charged at him out of anger.

Surprisingly the man moved aside to avoid the attack. Tomo then grabbed y/n and shoved her behind him, defending her. "Are you connected to that treasure hoarder?" Tomo asked, still in his defense stance.

"What if i am? Hm..wait...aren't you the fool that was killed by the musou no hitotachi?" The man teased Tomo's feelings more, trying to drive his emotion to not stay in control, provoking him to a fight, but Tomo knew more than that.

He knows that this man is a lot stronger than he is, he was able to use electro abilities on y/n without a vision, or perhaps was it a delusion? No, Tomo isn't sure if this man is associated with the fatui or worse, the so-called mysterious wanted person around Inazuma that 'stole' the gnosis.

He kept his emotions in control, while the man placed a hand on his hakama. "You have a vision? Thats why you have the guts to protect her? If ever, you would've ran away already after facing me" the man took his hat off to reveal his icy and empty blue eyes and short hair with a similar hair color with the shogun but a bit more darker.

He also has a youthful and soft look to which does not match his rotten personality at all.

Y/n's eyes widened and took a step back, she recognized this face, Tomo, too recognized this face.

Was he trembling? He wasn't afraid of the man before him, he's afraid of y/n getting hurt. He'd rather die again for her sake to live, at least, that's a way to redeem himself after his foolish deeds.

"Oh no, don't worry, i won't summon any fatui agents, for now, because i can't!" The man smirked and looked into Y/n's e/c orbs with his empty dark blue ones. "Fatui...harbinger" Y/n muttered, traumatic memories coming back to when her mother was taken by the fatui, heck, killed by a certain harbinger.

"Tomo, we need to go..." Y/n pleads, trying to pull Tomo's sleeve but she can't. "Who said you can go? I'll have to kill this boyfriend of yours so i can get you activate that vision" the man grit his teeth.

"Oh and not to mention— I was the one who gave Kazuha that delusion, but failed, so that's why i am here to take you with me to Sumeru, it won't get messy once you cooperate with me" he added.

After a moment of silence, Tomo charged at the Harbinger, his sword almost meeting the harbinger's neck, he really did want to kill him now, did he? All for y/n? But the thing is, can he though?

The harbinger saw the attack coming as if he is a seer. His electro filled fingertips touches Tomo's blade causing him to have a slight knock back effect.

"Even with that small energy i put into that attack it already did so much, no wonder why Ei didn't want me to hold the gnosis" The harbinger laughed. Thats when something in Y/n clicked.

A harbinger. Ill personality. Inazuman.

Sixth of the Fatui Harbingers, Scaramouche the Balladeer.

Y/n knew he was bad news. The man who technically murdered her mother was standing in front of her, and she can't let him kill Tomo too, no, she can't loose him, not again.

Scaramouche faced Tomo who's energy was sucked from that simple attack, "Ever since you got back, you have the sudden confidence to fight anyone who's on your way, you're getting worked up over nothing, well, you haven't changed, you're getting weaker"

Tomo faintly smiles until it turned into a manic laugh.

"You've grown overly confident with your new abilities with that gnosis, isn't it considered cheating to use a gnosis despite not being an archon, the only thing that is big is your ego not your new powers" Tomo says, Scaramouche irked.

"Why you little—" The harbinger filled his hand with electro energy, stealing away Tomo's elemental energy, but before Scaramouche could blast it on Tomo, Y/n stepped in, a sword just appearing in her hands, the electro blast was met by cryo creating a superconduct reaction.

Scaramouche took a step back, overjoyed. "Cryo?! You've done it y/n—", "Shut up or i'll kill you right here and now and i'll present your head in front of the rest of your fellow harbingers" Y/n's voice was filled with venom.

"Correction- former fellow harbingers for i am technically not a harbinger, for now" He smiled but faded away so quickly at the sight of a certain Yashiro comissioner spotting him from a distance, Scaramouche knew he'll be doomed once he gets a Kamisato involved, especially with it's healthy relationship with Ei herself.

"I'll come back, and when i do, i'll make sure you'll come with me with no questions asked", and so, he just ran off, or disappeared by using his abilities.

Y/n rushed to Tomo who was leaning by a tree, "You okay?!" She panicked, "You deserve a lot of tri color dangos later after that— wait...the vision shell" Tomo points at the vision shell, that still had a faint glow of cryo but faded away slowly.

"That doesn't matter, for now, you need to see a doctor and see the effects of what that attack did to you" Y/n cupped Tomo's face.

Tomo smiled, "Despite having a icy vision you have such warm hands..."

"Tomo?"

"Tomo!"
