14 : 「Swirl II 」

Kazuha bombards Tomo's mind negatively. It's just going to be a normal talk, no weapons, no using of visions or anything, but knowing this is a messed-up Kazuha, Tomo expects his sword ready to kill him.

Finding Kazuha is his current agenda, leaving the treasure hoarder interrogation aside, for now.

Tomo passed through Kannazuka and did not sense any of Kazuha's anemo elemental energy.
Yashiori Island is home to the beautiful sight of the serpent's head and home to a lot of hilichurls and nobushis, and Tomo knew he should be there. Kazuha can't just enter Watatsumi Island without a reason, Kokomi and Gorou is too busy with their own duties.

So Kazuha just has to be in Yashiori Island.

A peace of mind is what the platinum haired boy wants. The sound of the waterfall dropping down, a gentle and soft breeze, and the sight of the beautiful serpent's head.

Kazuha stood before it, thinking about y/n.

'That vision' he thought. 'Why does she have an empty vision shell with her?'

He took a deep breath, closing his ruby red eyes, focusing on the sound of nature for once.

"Kazuha. I want to clarify something" Kazuha hears a voice behind him. A voice he truly finds irritating. Why..why does he find his own old friend's voice that irritating, even he himself is starting to question the whys.
(Tomo and Kazuha is by the Formation Estate domain, not actually infront of the Serpent's head)

He turned around to meet Tomo's amethyst orbs.

"It's quite rude to not tell me that you wanted to see me, I didn't even tell you where i am, but you find me anyway" Kazuha smiled. It looked so fake.

"That doesn't matter right now, i just want you and I to talk. It's about y/n" Tomo clicked his tongue.

"What? You succeeded on stealing her away from me? Did you finally claim her to be yours this afternoon?" Kazuha turns away from Tomo and looks back at the serpent's head.

Tomo scrunched his nose from disgust. 'Claim? Is he out of his mind? I cannot do such thing unless i'm married to her' He thought.

"If you want to take your princess away, with the sakoku decree gone, you can run off to mondstadt or snezhnaya with her if you wish to do so, only, and only if, you kill me or i'm dead"

Kazuha chuckles until it gradually turned into maniacal laughter, however, his laughter came to an abrupt stop and looked at Tomo.

"I honestly cannot tell if you are being suicidal or you're being such a gentleman for wanting to protect y/n" He walked towards his friend's tall figure by the right, Tomo did not move, preparing his sword with his left hand.

"But i cannot not allow you to take her away from me." Kazuha says before swiftly taking his sword out, immediately infusing it with Anemo, but before his sword could hit his friend, Tomo already infused his sword with electro, blocking Kazuha's attack.

"Kazuha, you just proved to me that you've changed that much! It's only been a year!", Tomo growled.

Kazuha did not answer, he used his elemental skill to attack, while Tomo on the other hand refused to make any offense attacks, but rather he just kept on blocking Kazuha's attacks.

Sure Tomo did get sucked by the wind but it did not do as much damage as Kazuha's anemo wasn't infused to any other element.

Tomo has a gut feeling that something was wrong with Kazuha, 'could it be that empty vision could be connected to Kazuha? This is so confusing!' Tomo mentally screamed.

"How can you prove to me that i have changed?" Kazuha shouts and the wind grew stronger. Curse the anemo archon for that.

"Don't be stupid Kazuha, how else can i prove it to you when you're being such a creep to y/n, you make her uncomfortable and yet you have the audacity to confess to her?!" Tomo shouts, running his way through before punching Kazuha at the face, however, Tomo was still kind enough to not make the punch a little too hard like he did before.

The atmosphere felt strange, it sent a shiver down Tomo's spine. Kazuha went silent.

"Kazuha..." Tomo tried to reach his hand out, but Kazuha slapped it away.

"I'm not like that...i'm not a creep...Tomo, is that what you always thought of me?" Kazuha looked up at him, "You wont let me take her away without you dead" He continues.

Tomo has a bad feeling about this.

"I hate you. I want y/n for myself and myself only, and you're getting on the way" Kazuha does his elemental burst stance.

Tomo ran and used his vision to boost his speed, climbing ontop of the domain's entrance.

Did Kazuha really try to kill him but missed accidentally? Or did he miss that burst on purpose?

Tomo watched Kazuha searching for him, one thing about Kazuha's burst is that it's hard to see what is going on inside and outside of his AoE.

The milky beige haired boy noticed something. Kazuha's burst range is much wider and the slashes are a lot more violent that it was. Was it a buff? No, that can't be.

Due to Kazuha's burst range becoming wider, it reached the lit fire torch nearby, causing his burst to be infused with Pyro.

'This is getting too risky, for me, and for Kazuha...' Tomo thought.

Pyro. When pyro is infused with electro then...

A few seconds before the slashes comes to an end, Tomo infused his sword with electro before jumping into the fire-lit grass surrounding Kazuha, entering his range. Kazuha's eyes widened. He knew he messed up.

Overload. This elemental reaction causes knock back to those infused with both pyro and electro.

Kazuha shot up from the bed, it appears that Kazuha is inside the traveller's teapot, and the chair beside him there sat Aether.

"Kazuha, are you okay? Tomo said you coughed...no...more like vomited blood before he could give you an overload reaction" Aether explains.

Kazuha looked confused.

Aether chuckled. "Kazuha, tell me, have you been affliated with the fatui recently?" His voice turned serious.

Kazuha raises his eyebrows, "No...not that i remember i..." he grew frustrated.

Aether sighs, "You need to get more rest. Ayato needs me later and at some point i'll be needing you too, the festival is near and people all around teyvat is going to visit Inazuma. Rest well, Kazuha" Aether says before leaving his room.

He closed the door behind him and furrowed his eyebrows, the blonde sat on the couch.

"6th of the Fatui Harbingers, where could you be..." Aether mutters under his breath as he looks at the fatui delusion in his hands.

Aether took the delusion out of Kazuha's sleeve. Who snuck this delusion inside his sleeve? Could it be the source of his unusual behavior? If so, then who snuck it in.

"Kazuha's aura felt lighter after this delusion was taken from him..." the blonde says before Paimon calls him that Ayato needs Aether's presence in Ritou.
