Chapter 2

A loud bang was heard in the girls dorm
"MERLIN'S SAKE WHAT WAS THAT" I shout startled and sitting up in my bed. I looked across the room to see Granger has dropped her books and is picking them up.
"Jeez Granger what's all the noise for!?!?!?" Aurora said in her morning voice clearly woken up as well.
"You two have mail that stupid owl was scratching at the window in the middle of the night" Granger said as I took the mail from her hand and threw one to Aurora.
"Two letters why have I got two" one was from Lando the other from Gran I opened Landos first since it was shorter..

I have a packet of ur ADHD tablets in my bag meet me in the great Hall at breakfast I'll give you them there. X

I looked at the time it was getting late and Aurora and I still weren't ready for the day I looked to the side of me and saw Aurora had fallen asleep again.
"Aurora wake up we need to get ready or we will miss breakfast" I whispered shaking her.
She darted up.
"Breakfast?" she questioned
"Yes if we don't hurry we will miss it" I said walking over to my closet and grabbing my robes.
"What was that charm again?" I asked Aurora
"Uniformos representos" she answered.
I flicked my wand at us and said the spell to my surprise it worked.
"I did it!" I is said looking at Aurora
Aurora and I quickly applied a bit of makeup I only used a bit of mascara and some lip gloss as did she.

We both ran out of the door grabbing our bags I soon realised I didn't have a clue where I was going.
"Ugh Aurora what way is it to the great Hall?" I questioned
"Just stick with me you'll learn your way around in no time" she answered offering me a smile.
We arrived in the great Hall I saw Lando stood by the door and I went to get my meds from him.
"Hey Lando" I said giving him a hug.
"Hey sis" he hugged me back "Don't forget to take these get someone to remind you if you have to Ok.." he handed me the meds when Remus came over and said
"Cmon guys breakfast is starting" he pulled us into the Hall I sat with Rena,  Aurora and some boy named Harry.
"Hey I'm Harry, Harry Potter" he said shaking my hand I paused I recognized the name from somewhere.
"Layla Lightheart nice to meet you Potter"
"Please call me Harry, Potter is what the Slytherins call me" he laughed
A ginger haired boy came and sat next to harry. Looks like I have a few introductions to make.
"Ron this is Layla Lightheart, Layla this is Ron Weasley" I shook his hand before turning to Aurora and whispering
"Weasley?" in a questioning tone.
"Oh sorry Lay he's my cousin" she giggled I just nodded in response.
"Where's Hermione?" Ron asked his face going a light shade of pink.
"Granger ate breakfast in our dorm this morning before nearly giving me and Aurora heart attack" I shot back
"Oh come on her morning breath isn't that bad" harry replied laughing that just set all three of us off laughing for the rest of breakfast.

First I had charms it was just me and Aurora in that class though she said that Professor Flitwik had a setting plan so the likely hood of us sitting next to each other was very low.
Aurora and I walked into the class room and stood at the back with everyone else while we waited to be seated.  It had been about 5-10 minutes and most of the class had been placed next it was me, professor Flitwik showed me to my seat and said he was going to sit a higher grade student next to me in case I needed help which I was grateful for.

I sat down and started flicking through pages of my charms guide until I heard someone sit next to me I looked up and saw a boy with platinum blonde hair pale skin and deep grey eyes that were staring at me we made eye contact for a second before I quickly turned away looking back at my book.
He lent over slightly to read the book that was in between us getting closer to me.
"What's your name darling?" he asked in a quiet voice since the class was concentrating.
"Lightheart,  Layla Lightheart and you? " I responded quietly glancing at him.
"What a Lovely name you have I'm Draco.. Draco Malfoy" he replied I blushed slightly his comment and said thank you before reading the rest of that page.
I looked to my side to see he was staring at me again I then realised I was clicking my pen and looking around the room starting to get distracted from the work, I was probably being quite annoying.
"Oh sorry" I said putting my pen down and trying to get focused again.
"Don't worry it's fine" he said reading the question aloud so I could hear it.
I managed to get back on task but about 5 minutes later he looked up from his work and noticed I was day dreaming.
"Lightheart?" I heard his voice say my name I quickly snapped out of it.
"Um y-yes Malfoy?
"Are you ok? You seem quite distracted" he asked probably catching on.
"Oh uh I have ADHD I go off task and get distracted really easily especially if I don't take my medicine in the morning" I explained to him.
"Have you taken your medicine today?" he questioned
"Nope actually I forgot until you asked thanks" I pulled the packet from my pocket taking a tablet my medication tended to kick in quite fast so after that I managed to finish the assignment as did Malfoy.

After class I was talking to Aurora when Professor Flitwik called me over.
"Sorry to interrupt ladies, Miss Lightheart was it helpful to sit Mr Malfoy with you?" he asked in a kind voice.
"Yes professor I ment to thank you for that he is very helpful" I thanked him as Aurora and I walked out of the class.
"Malfoy? As in Draco Malfoy?" Aurora questioned.
"Yes what about him?" I looked at her puzzled.
"Well it's just I've never heard anyone say he was sweet and helpful before" she giggled
"I said he was helpful not that he was sweet Aurora" I blushed slightly at the mention of his name.
"You like him don't you!" she said excitedly with a happy look on her face.
"No" I replied
"Yeah you do it's written all over your face Layla!"
dangit was I really that bad at hiding it I had to think of something to say back and fast.
"Ok maybe just a little bit" I said with a small smile. Who am I kidding I couldnt hide that from my best friend she could read me like a book already and we've only known each other two days.
The rest of my classes went by pretty fast Lando had told me at lunch that he was going to try out for quidditch after school so I hurried back to my dorm to get changed quickly before try outs started I grabbed a pair of leggings and a oversized beige jumper and got changed before putting my wand in my pocket.

Aurora had gone to the library with Rena and Harry to do some homework so it was just me I made my way down to the quidditch field and sat on the bench before seeing Lando walk onto the field and over to me.
"Hey Layla how was classes today?" Lando asked seeming like he wanted me to say something in peticular.
"It was good" i said bluntly
"I heard your sitting with Draco Malfoy in charms" he said with a smirk
"Yeah" I said starting to go pink he definitely noticed cause then he told me this..
"When we got back to the common room I heard him talking about you" he said
"What was he saying were they good things!???" I asked intrigued.
"Oh yeah, I don't think he realised your my sister cause he mentioned that he liked you." he laughed. when Lando told me this I was quite happy because to be honest I liked him too but there is no way I was telling Lando that only Merlin knows what he would say.
"Tryouts are starting are you gonna stay and watch?" he asked as he backed away.
"Of course I am!" I shouted back so he could hear me

I quickly noticed that Malfoy was also on the pitch also trying out for he team looked like he was going for the position of seeker which I was relieved about cause it ment Lando and Malfoy wouldn't be going head to head. Tryouts seemed to have gone well for Lando and Malfoy from what I had seen.
Lando and I were chatting after when I saw Malfoy walking towards me with a nervous look on his face I quickly shoed Lando away.
"Lando fuck off Malfoy is coming over" I whisper shouted at him pushing him away.
"Jeez you see the abuse I get from this one" he said to Malfoy pointing at me they both laughed.

"Hey Lightheart" he said with a bit of a shaky tone.
"Malfoy I told you, you can call me Layla" I said with a slight giggle.
"And I told you to call me Draco" he laughed
"So I um well I was wondering what your doing tomorrow?" he asked looking slightly pink.
"Going to class most likely" I said with a smirk knowing perfectly well what he ment. 
He laughed again.
"I'm just kidding Draco I don't have any plans how come?"
"Well I was wondering if you wanted to hang out like with me" he seemed nervous
I blushed slightly at what he said.
"Like a date?" I said with a pink face
"Y-yeah only if you want to tho cause like if u don't that's coo-" he was starting to ramble so I quickly interrupted him.
"Draco relax I'd love to go on a mini date with you" I blushed again realising what I said.
"Great!... How about I meet you outside your common room tomorrow around 7:30 ish"  he seemed quite excited.
"Sounds great" I said with a grin.
We both went back to our common rooms or at least I did I think he went back to his.
I ran up to my dorm were I found Aurora and Granger nose in a book as usual I don't even think Granger heard me come in she was really into this book.
I told Aurora what Draco said she was so excited having literally predicted that he liked me and I liked him.

Aurora then told me that her cousin Ron Weasley had offered to tutor me for potions since I was a bit behind my studies and that he was waiting for me in the library.
