1.3: Red

The next morning, someone was trying to wake me up by gently shaking me awake. My eyes fluttered open and I saw dad standing above me.

"Hey sweetie." He sat down and put a glass of water and some pills next to it in my nightstand. "I got your prescriptions this morning. The doctor said it's gonna make you tired but that's totally normal."

I nodded and grabbed the pills off the nightstand and taking them one at a time.

"How are you feeling today?" I held me thumb up and put about halfway between up and down. "Kinda good then?" I nodded again. "You wanna eat something. The pills will work better if you've eaten." I shook my head and looked down at the bed.

"Please don't make me get Jinxx again." I cross my arms and leaned back against the headboard. "Oh fine. JINXX!!"

"Yeah." He walked in and stood and the end of the bed.

"A little help please."

"Again?" He looked at me with pleading eyes. "Darling please listen to CC. He may he a sprinkle dork but he knows what he's talking about."

"HEY!!" Dad yelled at him. I laughed a little. It almost felt foreign to me for some reason.

"There's that beautiful smile." Jinxx said smiling back. "Would you like me to get you some pancakes or something?" I hesitated but nodded. "Alright darling I'll be back. ASHLEY I NEED YOU'RE HELP BECAUSE I SUCK AT COOKING!!"

I laughed again and looked at dad.

"Thank you sweetie. Do you wanna watch Tv until breakfast is ready?" I nodded and dad tossed me the TV remotes. He sat down beside me.

"I'm glad you're okay Lyric." He said quietly. I noticed a notebook and pencil in my dresser and got up carefully, walking over to get it. I sat back down and wrote to him.

'I am too.' I handed him the notebook and he smiled.

"Don't you ever forget that I love you and the rest of the guys do too. You're my baby girl and I'm going to protect you with my life." I nodded and gave him a hug.

He was seriously the best father that I could ever ask for. And Andy, Jake, Jinxx, and Ashley were the best brothers I could ever have. I knew that they would protect me no matter what.

We watched American Horror Story for awhile until Jinxx came upstairs with plate of pancakes for me and dad to share.

'Thank you.' I wrote to him.

"You're welcome darling." He left and me and dad began to eat. He stole one of my pancakes and I frowned a little at him.

"What?" He said with an innocent smile. I got a piece of pancake and threw it at him, getting up and running out if the room.

"Oh no you didn't!" Dad ran after me and we ran throughout the house. He finally caught me in the living and flipped me upside down. I laughed and the guys ran into the room to see what was going on.

"What's with all the noise- Ooh that's what it was." Jake said pointed at us. Dad flipped me right side up and I took off running again.

I began to feel drowsy and slowed down.

"Lyric are you okay?" Dad asked running up behind me. I nodded and walked upstairs and jumped into my bed. "Oh just tired." I nodded again and closed my eyes, slowly drifting off to sleep.

CC's Point Of View

Lyric fell asleep quickly and I closed the door carefully, trying not to make any loud noises. I walked downstairs and sat on the couch with the rest of the guys.

"Hey, uh guys. Do you know what made Lyric wanna, you know, do that?" I looked at each of them who looked at each other.

"I don't really now but it had to be something at the party or something on Facebook." Andy said. "Let's just check to see if there was anything else other than the video she posted."

Andy swiftly grabbed Lyric's computer from the table and sat back down, getting onto her page. I watched over his shoulder while he scrolled throughout the news feed. He scrolled past another video that wasn't Lyric's.

"Wait whoa whoa whoa." I said stopping him from scrolling any further. "What's that?" He clicked on it and it was the party that Lyric was at. I saw the two girls holding her down while another one yelled at her. She started begging the girl and I felt anger boiling inside me.

Two boys in football uniforms came up behind her with two different buckets of something I wasn't able to see until they poured it on her.

The first thing they poured on her was a bucket full of worms and the second thing was water.

She let out a shriek and I'm guessing that it was hot water because it was a painful scream. My fist gripped the sofa and my arms started to tremble from the anger. My vision started to turn red from how angry I was getting and soon that was all I was seeing.

The girl screamed something else at Lyric and then pushed her out of the house. Everyone was laughing except for one boy, who looked as angry as I was.

"Stop the video." I growled. Andy clicked out of the video and nearly breaking the glass table from throwing the computer onto it.

"Why do people have to be so fucking cruel to an innocent girl? WHAT THE FUCK DID SHE DO TO DESERVE IT?!" Ashley screamed.

"I don't know but I'm going to do something about this shit! My daughter almost fucking died because some fuckers wanted to do that to her." I put on my shoes, as did the rest of the guys, and we piled into the car.

"Where exactly are we going?" Jake piped up.

"I'm going to that school, I'm going to show the principal the video, and I'm going to get the names of those little dipshitiots!"

We got to the school rather quickly and basically ran inside the building. An old cranky lady at the front desk told us to wait until the principal was ready to see us. It seemed like forever while we were waiting outside the office. A couple of kids past by us, clearly a little freaked out by our appearance.

"Mr. Mora, Mr. Harris is ready to see you know." Old cranky lady said.
Here goes nothin' I thought.
