We walked into the office and there was a man sitting behind the desk who is most likely Mr. Harris.
"Hello gentleman, how may I help you today?" He said a little to formally in a southern accent. I sat down and the guys, like idiots, wrestled for the other chair. Eventually Ashley won out and sat down next to me. Mr. Harris did not look too pleased with what had just happened.
"Um, sorry about that. But I don't know if you're aware of what's been happening but a couple of days ago my daughter went to a student's party and something happened. My daughter, Lyric, tried to commit suicide and I'm here to see who the students are that did this to her."
"Do you have any proof of what the students did?"
"Actually yes. Andy show him the video." Thankfully, Andy thought to bring the computer and opened it up to Facebook, playing the video. Mr. Harris's face went from a look to pure shock.
"My God! This is what happened." We all nodded. He looked back at the video and shook his head. "I am so very sorry for this Mr. uh..." He trailed off.
"Mora."
"Mr. Mora. These students are going are going to be punished severely for there actions." He took one last look at the video. "Wait a second. I know that boy!" He yelled out.
"Really?! Who is it?" I jumped up and looked at the screen.
"Well that's Ashton Irwin. He's captain of the soccer team and an excellent student. Would you like me to call him in here now?"
"Yeah." Mr. Harris spun his chair and clicked a button to a microphone. The overhead speakers beeped to life and his voice came on the intercom. "Ashton Irwin please report to Mr. Harris's office. Ashton Irwin." He took his finger off the button and set it off to the side. The door opened behind us and a young boy, Ashton, walked in.
"Yes sir? You wanted to see me." He said with an Australian accent. Well that's new.
"Yes this is Lyric's family. And I would like to ask you some questions about a party that you have recently attended and about Lyric." Ashley got up out of the seat and Ashton replaced it.
"What happened to Lyric? Is she okay?" He sounded concerned.
"Would it be alright if I told him?" Mr. Harris looked at me. I nodded and he looked back at Ashton. "Ms. Mora, sadly, tried to commit suicide because if that little thing your friends decided to pull."
"S-she did what?" His voice cracked a little. "Is she okay now?" He looked to me. "Please tell me she's okay."
"She's fine for now, but thanks to those people she can't talk anymore. Or at least for right now."
Ashton huffed a breath and his cheeks turned red which I'm guessing is from anger.
"Mr. Irwin, I'd like to ask you who were the people who had done that to her and I want nothing but the truth."
"Nicole Anderson, Amanda Cooper, Bailey Rodriguez, Toby Jones, and Nathan Kingston." He said without hesitation. He had no expression on his face either; this kid was serious about what happened.
"Thank you Mr. Irwin. You may go back to class now." Ashton stood up but before he left he looked at me.
"Tell Lyric I said I'm so sorry for what they did." Then he walked out.
"Thank you for letting us come in and tell you about this. It really means a lot."
"No don't thank me. I'll be calling these students in straight away and there punishment will be worked out then." I nodded and got up from my chair.
"Oh and one more thing. I'm going to be taking Lyric out of this school. I don't feel safe knowing she's here with the people who attacked her."
"I'll get that worked out as soon as possible sir." We all walked back out and went to the car again.
Once we got home I went upstairs right away and checked on Lyric. She was still asleep and I walked up to her bed.
"It's all okay now." I whispered. I kissed her forehead and left her alone once again.
