"Hannah?"
She turned towards me quickly, confusion washing over her face.
"Lyric? Why are you here?"
"You seem a little tense. Is something wrong?" I said with a hint of anger in my voice. "Like texting someone special?" She looked at her phone. She sprang to get it but I was quicker then her. I opened it and there they were.
The text messages she's been sending me.
"Why? Why would you do this? I thought you were my friend, I trusted you, I told you things that I have never told anyone else in my entire life. And then you go and do this." I threw her phone onto her bed. "Why did you do this?"
"You wanna know the truth Lyric? I hated you, I absolutely hated your guys. I was only your friend out of pity. And you wanna know something else? I told Kennedy and her friends everything that you told me. Not to long ago actually." She let out a laugh. "The day you left was the best day of my life, so I wouldn't have to see your disgusting face anymore."
My eyes filled with tears that had threatened to spill over my cheeks. She grabbed me by the throat and pushed me against the wall.
"And I swear to God if you tell anyone what I told you, it'll be your last words." I managed to push her off and ran out. I ran to the car where the guys were waiting and jumped in.
"Lyr, what happened? Why are you crying?" Dad asked me. I shook my head at him.
"Nothing, it's just.." I thought of what Hannah had said, and choked back the truth. "No one here sent the texts and I guess I got upset."
"Its okay sweetie, we're gonna find out who that is." Dad said whipping the tears from my cheeks. I look up at the window and Hannah is staring down at me. She shakes her head, eyeing me carefully.
"Let's go please, I'm tired." He nodded his head. I got into the back and had to sit on someone, so I just sat on Andy and put my legs across Jake and Jinxx. I rested my head against Andy's shoulder.
"Don't worry we'll find out who that is." He whispered in my ear. I nodded and closed my eyes.
"Can you turn on the radio please." I mumbled. Ashley turned on the radio and Therapy by All Time Low was playing. I smiled a little to myself. This was the very first song I heard by them and I absolutely loved it.
When we got home, I went straight up to my room to try and avoid any questions the guys were going to give me. I locked my door and broke down.
Why? After everything me and her have been through, why does she hate me? I sat down on the floor, putting my head in my hands. At this point my wrists were itching, aching for me to relieve them. I stood up and went to the bathroom, searching through my makeup to find my blade.
I picked it up slowly. I sat on the edge of the bathtub and gently pressing the cool metal against my wrist, gliding it carefully and not too deep across it. I did the same thing in the other side.
After I felt ashamed at what I did, but it helped me relieve my pain. I cleaned the up and put on a large hoodie to help cover them up. I walked out and downstairs and everyone was in the living room playing video games.
"Hey Lyric!" Jake said. "Wanna some video games with us?" He held up a controller.
"Not now Jakey, maybe later." My voice was much quieter than I expected it to be but I really don't care right now. I sat down between Ashley and Jinxx and watched the Tv screened while they played Call Of Duty.
I felt someone watching me and I looked out of the corner of my eyes to see Jinxx staring at me.
"Hey Lyr, can you help me with something really quickly?" I nodded and he went into the kitchen, me following close behind. I sat down on a barstool and he sat in the one right next to mine.
"Okay, spill it. What's going on?"
"Nothing is. I'm guess I'm just upset that we didn't find the person who was texting me that's all."
"Are you sure?" He glanced down quickly to my wrist. He picked it up carefully and pushed up the sleeve to reveal the fresh cuts. "Why?" His voice sounded hurt.
"I'm just upset that we didn't find the person." My eyes got watery. "I was clean since the day dad adopted me, but then I had to relapse like an idiot. God I'm so stupid." I stood up and paced around.
"Lyric, darling, you are not stupid. You're intelligent, beautiful, and sweet. You don't need to be hurting yourself." I sat down and he wipes tears from my cheeks I didn't even know we're there. "And I promise you that it'll be okay."
He kissed his hand and put it over my cuts, which made me smile a little.
"What I want you to do is get me your razors and bring them to me." He said in a hushed voice.
"Okay. But you have to promise not to tell anyone else about this, please." He nodded.
"I promise I will never tell them about it. Now let's go get your razors." I nodded and I walked upstairs to my bathroom. Jinxx stood in the doorway to supervise me. I got all the razors I had, (Expect one that I kept hidden away) and gave them to him.
"Do you wanna play video games with Jake now? He has been wanting to play them with you for awhile."
"Yeah I'll play." We went back to the living room and Jake seemed pretty happy that I played Call Of Duty and Halo with him. We spent the rest of the night playing games while everyone else went to bed. And I'll admit it was pretty fun.
