How long should it have been? A year, two? It had been a long time, so you were surprised when, on your way to the bar on the corner, you were met by an old familiar figure.
"Wait a minute," you begin, because you don't forget some faces very quickly, turning around emphatically slowly, "You're in town? I thought New York was your big dream."
"I thought so, too. But it wasn't," Eddie replied with a laugh, but there had to be more to it than that, because for him it had been the destination par excellence, "Out this late (y/n)? In the old days, that would never have happened with you."
"Times change Brock," you reply with a grin, taking a few small steps backwards, "When you're back here, I think we'll run into each other more often. Have a good evening."
