Jay, if.... .... he doesn't take you seriously
•••
"Give it a rest," you laugh, slapping Jay's arm with the back of your hand as you both watch the entrance to a bar, "He's nice."
A little over three weeks ago, you had met someone and the first date, had gone well, which, thanks to your job, was not a given.
Two weeks later, Jay had seen you out one night with your possible boyfriend, and it was when he wanted to go out for a drink with the colleagues. From that day on, he liked to tease you with him.
"I'm not saying anything," Jay defended himself smirking in amusement, which was thus the complete opposite of what your partner said, "Nice is good. Nobody says anything against a good meal. If you're happy with it."
"And what's that supposed to mean now?" with a small sigh escaping you because that was so typical Jay, "A pizza is nice too and nothing special, yet people love a good pizza."
"Then you and I will go for a pizza when the case is solved," Jay replied, glancing fleetingly at you and back at the door from which the four suspects had just come.
