Once we're high enough off the ground we call Spidey "Hey. why'd you need help with Mysterio? We thought he was just a small fry." Spidey was quite quick to reply, which probably means he wasn't too busy with Mysterio (Not very surprising, I know) "I just thought that you'd wanna get yourself out there more. I know it annoys you when people just assume you're me"

That bastard had me pegged. But if you could do all the things I can do, you'd be conceited too.

We would keep the talk going, but we can see Spidey now, so we decided to not waste anymore time and do what we came here to do. Right as we're about to rush in however, Arachnid suddenly shuts down, if it weren't for the fact that my underwear is separate from Arachnid, I'd be naked on top of a billboard "What the fuck dude!" I yell out, knowing the only answer will be in my head, but I don't get an answer, which is easily the worst part of this whole scenario.

With Arachnid out of action, I need to rely on Spidey to sort this out for me. I try to move in closer, to actually see what the fuck is going on, but I physically can't move and at this point I'm really freaking out (In case you couldn't tell) but I'm still able to talk, which means I can try and call over Spidey for help. of course, there is one slight wrinkle to this plan, I have no way of hiding my face, so I guess I'm just stuck here until this shit figures itself out.

Ooooh hey? can you let me explain this from my perspective, cuz otherwise it's just gonna be 15 minutes of you led on that roof doing literally nothing. Hang on two seconds, when the fuck did you get here? This is my story, you are not gonna hijack it, just cuz I've reached a slightly more boring part than usual. Okay, but hear me out here, are they gonna understand anything if they don't get the context that I had to tell you about after the fact. it makes more sense for me to explain it now rather than have you explain my explanation later. I hate it when you're right. Fine, you can start telling the story. Thank you, I'll try not to take over too much.

So, while Arachnid was otherwise engaged, I was doing my job (Beautifully, I might add) dealing with Mysterio when I overheard him saying something very strange. I can't quite remember what it was, but it was along the lines of "They won't be pleased that the other one didn't show up, this entire plan was wasted." Which struck me as odd for two reasons, firstly because I didn't think that Mysterio had ever been dealt with by Arachnid before, and secondly, that Mysterio was working with someone, he's usually too prideful to work with anyone else, which means he's doing this to save his own skin. He's afraid.

At this point, I was starting to wonder where Arachnid was so I went to call them, the phone went straight to voicemail. I just assumed that they were busy and got side-tracked by something else, it wasn't a big deal, it was only Mysterio. I still had a bad feeling about what Mysterio had said

Okay, can I go back to telling my story now? Why would you need to take back over? Something happened that you kinda don't know about, that I feel is important enough to tell you now. Are you telling me that you were.. Yes but don't spoil it for them. Fine, you can take back the driver's seat. Thank you.

So, where were we, right I was effectively paralysed but I had one trick up my sleeve. y'see I actually do have some powers beyond my tech and Arachnid. I have a combo set of pyromancy and geomancy (manipulating fire and earth for those of you who don't know) which I was seemingly born with (I actually used to have a separate hero identity as a child, but I had to stop when my parents found out it was me. that's kinda why I rebranded as Arachnid) I may have more elemental magic, but I've never experimented with it.

Considering that anyone could've come across me the way that I was, I had no choice but to reactivate my old persona. I tapped into my senses and pulled the rubble from the fight below towards me (One of them may have hit Spidey, sorry about that) and begin to reduce them to a molten form, morphing the shape around me, the whole time thinking two things. One, my parents are gonna kill me if they see this, and two, this is really gonna hurt Arachnid (I discovered quite early after bonding with Arachnid that fire was a major weakness for them, We've been training with it for a little while, but I can barely boil a kettle before Arachnid screams at me to stop) After the 'lava' had finished shaping itself around my body, I was finally able to move by manipulating the rock around me, quite literally blazing in to take down Mysterio as quickly as possible, the longer this fight takes, the more likely it is that my parents see it, was my key motivation, I didn't have time to play around.

After knocking Mysterio to the ground, I trapped him in a rock formation, before de-activating the strange signal emitter that Mysterio had with him and within a minute, Arachnid was back in commission. fortunately, by that time, I was out of sight and could allow Arachnid to reform as I stopped using my innate powers, we considered making sure that Spidey was alright, but We figured that he'd be pissed that We didn't show up, so we promised ourselves that we would message and explain later (Spoiler alert, I didn't) and we headed back home.
