She's alive...she's actually alive, EJ's mind thought and thought after witnessing what happened tonight. His hotel room remained dark, dark as his mind. The depression was slowly re-growing in his mind.
Things didn't make sense to EJ or the other four. There was no way that Cabrina could still be alive right now, but how would they know that? Were they there when this supposed death occurred?
There was no way that frightened and confused EJ would be able to sleep through the same night that Cabrina came back from the grave. His hands became sweaty; sweaty enough that they made the sides of his jogging pants wet. He needed to get some things out of his mind and speak words into another person's ears. Quickly, he grabbed his laptop from underneath his bed, contacting someone that could hopefully understand what he was going through.
A zoom call immediately was in works with a close pal of EJ's, someone who wasn't from Jamson. The restless fellow answered the call while lying down in his bed.
"Elixander," the man rubbed his droopy eyes, "hat's the meaning for this late call?"
His words tumbled over each other, not making any sort of sense to his tired friend. With his blender of a mouth, EJ finally took a breath and hoped that his friend could understand what he was explaining.
"The only thing that I could hear from that is Brina. What does Brina have to do with this, isn't she dead?" the friend tried to make sense of his conversation.
"Marcell," EJ tried to explain, "that's what I'm trying to explain to you. I-I think she's back. The girl that me and the rest are responsible for!"
Puzzled to the point that he thought he was dreaming, half-awake Marcell removed himself from his bed and walked over to his desk. He turned the lam on, giving EJ a better lighting of his drowsy face.
Impossible, Marcell thought in his mind as he squinted at his phone. He knew that that situation was too ficitous to have any realism to it.
EJ could tell from the expressions on Marcell's face that he didn't believe what was coming from his mouth. That was his friend; he believed everything that he said about Brina being dead; why couldn't he accept the fact that she could be back...after the five that were responsible...?
"We'll talk in the morning Elixander," Marcell stamped a void label on the whacky discussion between them, "I'm still drunk from a party and you-you're calling me late in the night for a dead woman that is apparently alive now. We'll speak about this topic tomorrow in the middle of the day. K? Okay, goodnight Elixander."
The zoom call ended with EJ's issues unresolved. What was he going to do without the help from Marcell? Did he have to depend on Marcell for everything? How did he trust Marcell a lot with that damaging information that he's kept buried for so, so long?
He placed his laptop back under his bed, worrying about what he was going to do for the rest of the night. His hands clasped onto each other, gripping it hard as he didn't care about having no circulation or crushing the bones in his fingers. He bit the bottom of his lip while his legs crossed one another.
My life is so fucked up now, his unnerved mind downed himself.
Rocking his fractured body back and forth, Elixander knew that his life and world would be turned upside down after realizing that the girl that he and the others thought that they murdered was actually alive and back in Jamson, South Carolina after fifteen years of being dead...
