This chapter is centred around Ade and Zane...if you don't like them, then don't read...

Ade:
I didn't know why I was getting so worked out about this. I didn't even like the stupid wee prick. I hated the way he was so cocky. I couldn't stand the way he pranced about like he owned the place. And as for that stupid haircut of his...
I was probably giving a pretty bad impression of someone who didn't give a shit. I could hear them all talking downstairs and I knew - oh yes, I knew - that Annie was going to be coming up the stairs soon. Okay, I might've given Cal a bit of stick about her; she could be an interfering wee busybody sometimes, but I suppose her heart was in the right place. Most of the time.
Sure enough, moments later, there was a knock on my door. I rolled my eyes, sitting down on the bed.
"C'me in," I called. Annie pushed the door open, leaning against it to close it again. She looked rough.
"Thanks for that, Ade," she muttered dryly, frowning at me. I was guessing that she still hadn't completely forgiven me for what I had put Zane through.
"You'd be guessing right, then."
I groaned inwardly. I really wished she would stop doing that.
"And I wish that you'd stop being such a knob!"
"Annie," I said quietly, looking her straight in the eye, "you're starting to piss me off." She rolled her eyes.
"Fine then," she murmured, "I'll just leave. You evidently don't want my help." She made to open the door again but I leapt from the bed and stood in front of her, barring her exit. Annie raised her eyebrow at me and a smug smirk was forming on her lips. Bloody woman.
She raised her eyebrow further but said nothing.
"Where is he?" I asked desperately. Annie sighed and leaned against the door, shaking her head at me. I really couldn't be bothered with the self-righteous you-brought-it-on-yourself talk. Annie wrinkled her nose but said nothing. Thank the big man in the sky.
"He's gone out with Rick," she replied carefully, watching for my reaction. I growled involuntarily and she took a step backwards, never taking her eyes from my face.
"It's fine," I mumbled wearily, rubbing my face with my hands. "Just...tell me where he is. Please."
Annie sighed and sat down on my bed. No! She wasn't supposed to be making herself bloody comfortable, she was meant to be helping me! She shook her head in disbelief.
"You're such an arse, Ade," she mumbled, stroking her stomach softly. I felt sort of guilty then; getting narked at a pregnant person, but it was Annie. No doubt she would get over it.
"He's at that restaurant in town," she told me grudgingly. "The Italian." I could've kissed her. She recoiled as she read my thoughts, making a repulsed face.
"You come near me, Ginger, I'll smack that stupid smile off of your face." I grinned and opened the door, slipping out onto the landing. I practically skipped down the stairs and towards the front door, skidding slightly on the floor.
"You look happy," Radleigh remarked, coming out of the kitchen.
"I am."
"Why?" he asked, wrinkling his nose.
"Because I have a mate," I told him sincerely, opening the door. Radleigh gave a snort and shook his head.
"Mates cause you nothin' but trouble, Ade," he muttered. "Just have to look at Annie and Cal to see that."
