Sprinting toward the Saiyan, Chi-Chi waves her hands, indicating that they stop what they are doing immediately. "Stop! Stop! I will not have ya burn those leaves! They smell awful when ya do that!"
Unsure of what his wife was talking about, he chuckles. Hands resting against hips, he leans forward, teasing her. "Chi-Chi, I don't know whatcha talkin' 'bout. Gohan and I are burnin' anythin'... we're just gatherin' 'em an' puttin' 'em in piles - that's all."
Glimpsing between parents, Gohan interjects. "Mom, we aren't burning anything. Dad said we were gonna gather 'em an' use 'em for the garden."
Lashes fluttering, she glances back and forth at the two. "The garden? But... it'll be too late 'ta do that stuff."
"Can't we use it for next year? And let the leaves dry so they don't get rotten. I'm sure that would work." Gohan dictates, reflecting back on what he had acquired in school or what he considered common knowledge.
"Listen to Gohan, Chi-Chi. The kid knows what he's talkin' 'bout. We both know he's full of potential when it comes to that stuff." The Saiyan reassures his wife. Relaxing his hand on her shoulder, he laughs. "It'll work just fine, kay? Maybe we can spend time with that pile like we use to, too."
"You use to?" Gohan interrupts, curious as to what his parents did with the leaf pile.
"Your mom an' me used 'ta jump in 'em! We'd rake 'em up an' see who could make the biggest impact on it! I won most of the time, but your mother did surprise me a few times. Then we'd go inside for some cider! Oh - Chi-Chi, do we have apple cider? That'd be great 'ta do with Gohan!" He beams, elated about spending time with the two of them. It was what he enjoyed most - more than fighting, he wouldn't tell them that directly.
Making the most of the moment before his mother spoke her opinion, Gohan gleams with enthusiasm. It had been too long since they spent time as a family! "That sounds like fun! Can we do that, mom?"
Lips clasped together, she glowers at her husband. Why...why did he have to say anything about that? She didn't have the energy to play in the leaves like they used to! "...maybe ya can, but I ain't."
"Oh, c'mon, Chi-Chi! Stop bein' a prude! Y'know ya want to!" Her husband taunts, knowing full well that he'd be able to talk her into it somehow.
Expression dropping, her face twitches. She despised when he jabbed at her, seeking to get her to give in! She wasn't going to - that was final. "No. I don't want 'ta! That's final."
Rolling his eyes, he takes the chance and seizes her. Throwing her over his shoulder, he rushes toward the pile and plunges into the leaves. If she didn't want to do it herself, she could have the decency to do it with him - not that she had much of choice.
"GOKUUUU!"
The pair land on the cushy pile, destroying a lot of the progress they accomplished earlier that day.
Chuckling, the Saiyan checks on the state of his wife. She didn't appear too happy, but she could deal with the fact that this was how he desired to spend time with her and their son. "Hehehe! Chi-Chi, calm down! It's just leaves!"
Simmering down, she exhales. Eyes sealed, she attempts to soothe herself after being taken captive by her husband. Hair ruined, leaves in crevices she didn't want, and worse of all - she had him treating this as a game. "...I don't care. I don't wanna do this."
"Why?"
Eyes bursting open, she locks eyes with her spouse. She hadn't anticipated him to ask that question. "...cause."
"That ain't an answer, Chi-Chi. Unless ya have a good reason, I ain't lettin' ya get away."
"Mom! Dad! Let's put the pile back together!" Gohan yells, already tidying the scattered leaves into the pile. "That looked like fun! It'd be nice to have some traditions in our family!"
Brows furrowing, she glances between the two. "...Ya two really want 'ta that badly, huh?"
Whole face animating, the tween clutches his fists, beyond thrilled. Running over to remotest leaves, he ecstatically gathers up leaves.
Eyes flickering, Chi-Chi pushes herself off Goku and observes her son. She hadn't expected him to be so joyful about doing something so simple.
Joining the petite woman, the messy-haired Saiyan hugs his wife from behind. Resting his head on her shoulder, she nestles his face into her neck. "We need more time like this, Chi." Running his fingers up her chest, he gropes her bosom.
Immediately elbowing him in the abdomen, the ebony hair woman snarls. "NOT HERE! CONTROL YERSELF, WHY DONTCHA?!"
Happening to evade her, he swoops her up. Lips pursed, he huffs. "Chi, why'd ya do that? I wasn't gonna take it farther. I was just teasin' ya so y'know for later."
Chest expanding, she strives to get herself out of his hold. "Please, let me go, Goku-sa! Gohan ain't suppose 'ta see us like this!"
Cognizant of what his parents were doing, the youngster peers up and goes back to work. He didn't need to make a scene.
Jostling in her husband's arms, Chi-Chi harshly grasps her husband's hands and seeks to pry them off her. "Put me down. Now."
Throwing her over his shoulder, he grunts. Why did she continually have to fight him? "Nah. The longer ya persist, the longer ya'll be here. I ain't 'bout 'ta argue with ya 'bout this. Ya bark at me 'bout not doin' what ya want, so now it's yer turn."
A muscle in her jaw twitches. Fists fired at his back, she roars. "PUT ME DOWN!"
"Dad, what's goin' on with ya an' mom?" They had made it challenging not to ignore them. He couldn't help but disrupt their conversation.
"Don't worry 'bout nothin', Gohan, kay? I'm just makin' sure your mom sticks around - that's all," The Saiyan chirps. "Ya want help?"
Browsing their yard, he nods. "I suppose so."
"Alright!" Acting as he was going to rake, he instead grabs Gohan and bolts toward the leaf pile. Gohan had raked and fluff it up enough to cover all three of them. Landing in the heap of dry leaves, he peers down at his family. "Wanna gather more, Gohan?"
Gleaming, Gohan gets up and begins preparing the next pile. "On it!"
Clutching Goku's jaw, her onyx eyes meet his. "What am I suppose 'ta do with ya when ya pull of moves like that...." Squeezing her eyes shut, a corner of her mouth quirks up. Eyes sparkling, she sneers. "Yer lucky I put up with ya, day-'ta-day. I don't think anybody else would. Guess ya were the smart one."
His mouth fastens shut. Eyes narrowing, he protests. "Yer all I want." Arms binding around her, he tightens his embrace. "If you're gonna make snotty comments, ya can stick here with me. I don't get why ya have to criticize anybody."
Flabbergasted, she gazes at her knight. "...I was just playin' around with ya."
"We both know that ya meant it." Goku argues, eyes stern. It was a side of him that many people didn't get to see of him.
"Goku-sa...please don't make a big deal of this."
Nose twitching, he's irritated by the hypocritical behavior. "Stop. I won't have ya talk like that. I don't like it. It ain't right."
Face turning scarlet, she averts eyes. "...Kay. I won't do that."
"An' that goes for thinkin' anythin' too! I won't have ya do that 'ta yerself, Chi. I know how ya hurt yerself sometimes." He softly states, gently guiding her eyes to his. "I love ya, Chi-Chi. Please know that. Ya'll be the only woman I'll ever love."
Tears forming, her lip quivers. How was she supposed to contain herself when he said things like these when she less expected them?!
"I mean it, Chi-Chi. You're everything to me. I couldn't ask for a better life than what I have with ya an' Gohan." Mouth curving into a smile, he nuzzles into her chest, lifting her some.
Eyes drifting to Gohan, the female nervously mutters. "Not in front of Gohan, Goku-sa...please."
"No, I don't care. You're mine an' I'll do what I want with ya as long as possible. I ain't lettin' ya go if I can help it." Eyes closing, he happily takes in her scent - rice and woodchips with a hint of perfume. He guessed he smelt similar these days, knowing that they had to rub off of each other. "I love ya, Chi-Chi. I always will."
"I love ya too, Goku-sa."
