Half-Saiyans racing to the stand, Goten and Trunks bark at each other, arguing about who reached the counter first.
"That ain't fair! I totally got here first!"
"We both know that you're just saying that. I won fair and square, Goten." Trunks blurt triumphantly. Knuckles resting against his hip bones, he stands proud and tall.
"Will y'two knock it off for once?! No one cares 'bout who made it first! This is not a competition!"
The onyx-eyed woman growls. She certainly didn't need anyone to cause a commotion when of all days.Eyes glinting, her husband joins the fun, jeering at his wife. "Everythin' is a competition, Chi-Chi. I raised the kids 'ta know that, dontcha know!"
Optics blazing, she slaps her husband's shoulder - wanting him to feel the pain for that comment. "I didn't raise deliquents. Don't make me regret this mister."
Instantly, the Saiyan clasps his arm. Pouting, he sulks. "Ow! That hurt!" It wasn't his fault that she didn't understand the concept of fun!
"Oh, get over yerself. Yer able 'ta deal with the strongest bein's of the universe, but ya can't deal with yer wife smacked ya for yer ill behavior?" Grabbing her purse, Chi-Chi digs around and takes out her wallet. Grasping enough cash for all of them, she rests it on the table and walks ahead, entering the maze."
Following behind their chaperone, Goten tugs at his mom's pant's leg once reaching her a few meters in. "Mom, can Trunks an' I go on without ya an' dad? You're only going to slow us down!"
"I have to agree with Goten on this one, Goten's mom." Trunks concur, praying that his friend's mom wouldn't fight them on the matter.
"No wa-!"
"Sure thing, boys! Just make sure ya don't cheat an' fly up! An' make sure ya wait at the end for us, kay?"
Interrupted, Chi-Chi's whole body stiffens with rage. How could he allow them to wander off when this was supposed to be a day with the family?! Fists clenching, she swivels around - her teeth grinding and neck tendons popping out. "YA THINK YA CAN DO WHATEVER YA WANT, SON GOKU!?!"
Both youngsters tremble in fear and dart off. They didn't want to stay for the repercussions. They could let Goku handle it all; after all, he was the one who married her!
Noticing the two sprinting off in his peripheral vision, he smirks. He had taught Goten well. However, his slight smile set if wife off more. It appeared that she would never simmer down. Clasping her wrist, he brings her into his embrace. "It ain't appropriate for us to argue in public. Y'know that."
Nose crinkling, she snarls. She wasn't going to allow this man to have the upper hand! He couldn't have that much influence on her these days - though he had changed twice on her - once after Yardart and the other the time they had apart for seven years. Chest expanding, her head abruptly turns away.
Non-dominant hand firm against her wrist, his fingers brush her loose strands behind her ear. "Y'need to enjoy the moment more, Chi. Maybe ya'll get those grey hairs the boys tease ya 'bout worryin' like that." He jabs.
Using her other hand, she digs her nails into his flesh, not caring one bit if she broke the skin. It didn't appear anything was happening, however. "Let me go. We're spendin' time as a family."
"No, we ain't. I told Goten that we were gonna pretend 'ta do that an' the two of 'em would run off an' ya an' me would get time together. I thought ya'd like that, Chi-Chi. Don'tcha like that idea?"
"Don't make me beat some sense in'ta ya, Goku." The petite female hisses, nails yet digging into his tissue.
Yanking her toward him, she excuses them. This was the perfect opportunity to push her buttons - finding her adorable when she got feisty. "Excuse us. We're just figurin' out where 'ta turn up ahead."
Receiving strange looks, his attention turns straight to his wife. "C'mon, Chi-Chi. It's only been a few years since I've been back after Buu. Make the best of this, kay? Think of it as a little date night!"
Exasperating, she nods and moves her hand away. Goku had finally let go of his grip, but not without intertwining his fingers with hers - something had started doing after he came back after Buu. It was startling to a degree, yet, she didn't mind it. It was one form of PDA she didn't care about so much.
Walking alongside his wife, he takes them past a few paths before turning left. It was his plan to get them lost; Chi-Chi didn't need to know about that aspect of it. For now, he'd make the most of enjoying her scent, aura, and presence. He loved her more than anything out there, including their children. Still, she was the one thing that motivated him over anything else.
Glancing over, she caught him staring a few times at her. He was such a strange one sometimes. Yet, it was cute; it grew on her - him acting all discreet about being head over heels for her, or that's how she read it as.
The further they walked, the less noise and ki the Saiyan detected. Swooping his wife, he presses her into the wall of corn. Guiding her legs around his waist, he finally got to spend time with her. Tough-padded fingers caress her cheek, memorizing every spot of her face. "I can't believe you're all mine, Chi-Chi." Eyes meeting hers, his droop. It was difficult for him to confess his emotions and thoughts, even after her disclosing with him countless times how she believed that he'd later find someone better or leave her to become stronger altogether. The rumors didn't help whatsoever either. "I'm still baffled by the fact ya stuck around, then I remember how special the love that we have." Leaning forward, he kisses her lips briefly. There was so much more he wanted to do with her - that was on her, though. He wouldn't do anything without her approval.
Overfilled with his love, she wraps her around his neck - nuzzling into him. "I love ya more than anythin', Goku-sa - I mean it. I wouldn't trade ya for nothin'. Yer my rock an' pride. I couldn't ask for anyone else 'ta give me two beautiful kids to raise with him."

Trunks being curious about what his parents were doing, nosily asks about it. "What were your parents doing anyway?"
Stopping, Goten looks at his best friend wide-eyed. "I don't understand, Trunks. They were just spending time together like you and me."
Cocking a brow, he's unimpressed that the nine-year-old didn't know anything about couples. "You know nothing? Man, your parents must really keep you in the dark!"
"I guess not." The obsidian-hair boy shrugs - no idea on what all the fuss was about.
"They do all kinds of things when they're alone! Sometimes my parents will do it in front of me too!" He grunts, disgusted remembering the events.
"Like kissing?"
Stunned, the ten-year-old stares blankly for a moment. He didn't expect Goten to see any of that. Goku and Chi-Chi seemed so private on those matters. "You're just making that up." Trunks accuse him.
Forehead creasing, the small boy, pouts. "Am not! Dad did it shortly after he arrived home. He said he couldn't contain himself when it came to mom. Then he was trying to kick me out of the bedroom for a while too! I was mom's sleeping buddy and then he popped in and suddenly I would wake up in my own bed instead of where I fell asleep! Ain't that crazy?!"
"Why would your dad do that?" Trunks wonders, having not the slightest idea what adults did behind closed doors.
"Yeah, it kept happening too! Nearly every night! Mom yelled at him at first, but then I'd crawl into their bed with them cuddling each other! It was too much for me!..and mom didn't hold me anymore either!"
Rubbing his face, he ponders quietly. He was pretty curious about what Goten's parents were doing. "Should we go check on them?"
Shaking his head, Goten retorts. "No. Dad told me specifically not to. He said it was him and mommy time - whatever that means."
