𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝟏𝟎

this music is starting to piss me off.

i tighten my grips on sae's waist as i open my eyes. i turn my head to the side and see sae byeok opening her eyes.

"morning sleepy head," i manage to say.
god damn my throat is scratchy.

"morning," she mumbles back.

our mornings got stopped by gi-hun talking to piss baby.

"did you stay up all night?" he asked.

"i thought they would attack again or something," piss baby replied.

"old man, but you must be so exhausted already."

"it's all right. you don't really need that much sleep when you're old, and i didn't help when they went after everyone but keeping night watch well, i can do that," piss baby said.

"i hate that old man. he annoys me," i mumbles into sae's shoulder.

"attention players. the third game will begin momentarily. please follow the staff's instructions and swiftly make your way towards the game hall."
fuck sakes, we literally just woke up.

i groan and place my hands on sae byeok's hips and placed her beside me.

time skip

i walked in front of sae byeok with my hands in my pockets, following gi-hun who was following piss baby and so on.

"players, welcome to the third game. for this game, you will play in teams. all players, please divide yourselves into teams of 10 to 12 people. your time limit will be ten minutes. ten minutes."

the women over the speaker then repeated the instructions as everyone made it down to the bottom of whatever the room was.

i leaned against the wall next to sae byeok as we faced gi-hun and the rest waiting for them to speak.

"something that has teams of ten to 12 players. so maybe it's tail tag or why did you come to my house. tail tag means running is involved or it might just end up being simply based on luck. what do you think?" gi-hun asked the asshole.

"our team already has two girls and  an older guy. i'm thinking we better get more men first," asshole said.

"are you gay or are you just a sexist asshole?" y/n seethed.

"i'm not gay, women are just not as strong as men," he countered.

"if women aren't as strong how about you react to me shoving a screwdriver down your throat?" y/n asked.
i'm not being sarcastic. this dude is a straight up dick.

gi-hun gulped before asking asshole, "what if they made us play gonhhi or elastics? then what do we do? girls are usually the good ones at that-"

"that's true, but when it really comes down to it, usually men are bett-"

"better at what? hmm?" y/n waited for him to respond when he didn't respond and just looked down. "that's what i fucking thought you asshole."

he gulps before hesitating to continue, "it's our lives we're betting on right now and we gotta win."

"can we win if your dead?" y/n chuckled.

sangwoo ignored her comment. "about 6 more people are needed. i see that we each bring one guy to join us, okay?"

y/n grabbed sae byeok's hand before walking off.

"you're partnering up with me because i said so," y/n grumbled.

"fine, let's go find someone else though," sae byeok said.

"let's split up, i'll go find someone while you do the same," i said before letting go of sae byeoks hand.

"alright, see you soon," sae byeok said before walking off.

i walked around seeing if i could see anyone that didn't have a team. i spotted someone sitting on the staircase. i walked up the staircase to where she was and looked down to see she was already looking up at me.

"join me," i said.

"why should i?" she asked before going pack picking at her nails.

"because you have no team," i respond shortly.

"so?" she asks.

"you need to join a team, or else you die. it's pretty explainable," i responded.

she shrugged then stood up and shoved her hands in her pockets. 

"so you're joining?" i asked raising an eyebrow.

she nodded before walking down the stairs. i followed down as well and saw sae byeok with chick.

"who's this?" i nodded towards the girl standing next to sae byeok.

"si woo," she introduced herself. i stared at her before standing beside sae byeok and wrapping my arm around her waist.

"let's go," i said before tightening my grip against sae byeoks waist and walking towards the others.

we all sat in a circle as gi-hun counted all of us.

sangwoo pointed to si woo and the other girl i brought, "who brought you two?"

the girl i brought nodded to me and si woo nodded towards sae byeok.

"her," the girl said.

"i said to bring only men back here, didn't i?" the asshole said to us.

"i will twist your dick and shove a knife up your asshole," i spat at him.

he visibly gulped before looking away.

"this doesn't sound good," the girl said. "you want me to go?"

"asshole," si woo mumbled under her breath before getting ready to stand up.

"i'll go now as well," the other girl said.

"no wait hold on," gi hun said to the two. "it's okay. stay where you two are. we don't even know what we're doing yet and the time's almost over."

"we made a weak team," sangwoo spat at gi hun.

i scoffed and squeezed sae's thigh and rubbing my thumb in circles. sangwoo looked at us in disgust and i glared at him.

suddenly a very disturbing voice yelled out, "well, nobody kicked me out huh! i'll play with you as a special deal here, okay? man, you guys lucked out today. yikes! i'll be way more help than these wimpy little girls. plus, i'm good at everything except the things i can't do."

i clenched my fists trying very hard not to punch the piss chick in the face.

"this time for forming your teams is over. all players, please line up with your teammates at the entrance of the game hall."

"one day i'm going  to kill piss chick, piss baby and the asshole."
